It's a speakeasy in that you need to be surely looking for it. Or okay with accidental stumbling into it on your way to either the bathrooms... or kitchen. Drinks and service are good. That's the appeal of a speakeasy anyway, right?! Random happenstance? (It's just not the kind that would lead me here personally).

I'm a fan of hidden places, this spot is inside Moe and Curlys, in the far back behind this big wooden door. It wasn't busy when we went which made the visit even more pleasant. Staff was super friendly and easy to chat, and the drinks were excellent.

My boyfriend and I stopped in Moe and Curly's one evening and our waitress told us about Howard & Fine. We went to check it out and had an incredible experience! The bartender was PHENOMENAL! Every drink was delicious, we had such great conversations with her and her choice in music was absolute perfection. The vibe was impeccable, it was cozy and chic and classy. We definitely will be back to Howard & Fine

Sidle your way through the karaoke crowd at Moe and Curlys, move past the restrooms, and you'll find a heavy old door with an H&F painted on the front. Once you enter, you're in a whole different environment. The bar is very dark, fairly quiet, and two levels. I decided to stay on the ground floor, as cocktails, high heels, and wrought iron spiral staircases don't typically mix well. Plus the bar is on the ground level, haha! The drink menu is HUGE! Anyone can find something they like...probably 10 somethings they like, actually. I had planned on having 2 drinks but ended up staying for hours. The drinks were all made perfectly and were as fun to look at as they are to drink. One drink was even lit on fire at our table! It was very dramatic and impressive! Just so much fun! If you like cocktails, do yourself a favor and check this place out! I will definitely return, and will recommend this bar to my friends.

Not Husband and I went there on Saturday about 9pm. It was located in the back of Curly and Moe's. You push through what looks like a heavy wooden door into a darken room. The layout is familiar if you have ever been to Wicked Rabbit, bar seating and a few low tables and chairs. Two bartenders were on staff and seemed to be struggling to keep up with the small amount people waiting. I imagine the wait was due to the "hand crafted" drinks. NH and I sat the bar, we looked over the menu. I decided on a Cosmopolitan. He asked for a Sleepy Hollow, we were told oh sorry, we don't make that now. That was from our fall/winter menu. Okay great, but that is the menu you have offered us. He asked for something else (I can't remember), again.. not available as it was from our fall/winter menu. Ugh, okay. How about a simple Jack and Coke? Bartender says, no we are more upscale, you could get that up front. Really? Uh huh. He ordered an old fashion and it was fine I guess. $25 for two drinks and a $5 tip. It wasn't that fabulous. We both felt this was a cheap knockoff of Wicked Rabbit. We'll go there next time.

Howard & Fine is a rare gem in Omaha. This is a drinking establishment normally found in destination cities. Those places you fondly remember and continually tell others that you've been. It compares well with the great drinking establishments I've encountered in my many travels.Howard & Fine is a true speakeasy located within a nondescript karaoke pub called Moe & Curly's. Find the door and you enter an entirely different environment. High end, chill decor with just enough light once your eyes adjust. The drinks are first rate, and Cat the bartender knows her craft. She recommended the 'Sleepy Hollow', a smoked mezcal drink which was spot on for my mood. I then challenged her for 'something better', and she created me a whiskey based libation that was quite good indeed. I then discovered that Howard & Fine has an absinthe drip; a must for a true drinking establishment. Finally, if you want a little privacy, you must check out the upstairs. You and your out-of-town guests will not be disappointed

This place has a great atmosphere , drink menu, and staff! I would go back for sure. You enter through mo and Curleys go to the back follow the hallway past the bathrooms to a big wood door. This is how you enter. The down stairs is romantic and dark. Go up the circular stair case to the upstairs you get a view of the bar and an area with more lighting than the downstairs.

Deon does a great job not only with the drinks but as the owner and main bartender he really goes above and beyond. No menu, he prefers to make what you like, what you ask for. It's a great place!!

This speakeasy is the real deal. No menu, just a phenomenal bartender that will ask what you like and concoct something exactly to your taste with as much or little direction as you want to provide. Aysha was the bartender and she created cocktails for my husband and I that were unlike anything we've had before and I don't think we will ever be able to recreate. As good as the cocktails were, the experience was made by Aysha's knowledge and customer service. Cocktails were under $15 which is rare for any restaurant but especially a speakeasy. Do yourself a favor and stop here before or after dinner for a welcoming atmosphere and any cocktail you can imagine from the basic to most complex.

Well I got lucky Wednesday night at 6 o'clock the place was empty which was kind of nice actually. The bartender Colin was super cool to chill out with have a great conversation with, he made amazing drinks. I had the Pisco Sour which was great and also the Cucumber Southside. Super cool place, dark and booths can be an intimate area also. Drinks take several minutes to make, I imagine if it was busy you might wait a little bit longer than the typical bar but it was worth the wait for a handcrafted drink.
