House of Bah

This chef (Djamil) does rotating pop-ups around O-town in addition to catering and private events and I was lucky enough to do a 9 course (shared with friends and tried the whole menu) taster at the pop up at the flat iron for only $65 (found out about it on Instagram)! He's also popped up at Dandelion and in the Switch in Blackstone. What I love about him is his efforts to harmonize African flavors with new American cuisine to introduce and make it palatable for newbies to the African scene. We had a chance to talk to the chef and it was really nice seeing his mission to bring more African tastes to Omaha. Currently I have only tried this type of flavor at Okra and Chaima's. I know once more people give it a chance, they will love it.Definitely look for House of Bah around town for pop ups. Updates on Facebook and their website, and Instagram. Consider him for catering and private dining events!

Honestly so good. The chicken had so much flavor. It was juicy and just everything was before the. And if they ask you if you want it spicy or not, just get it spicy. If you're sensitive to spice, just have a glass of mail near by, cause the flavor is worth it. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! I would definitely go back.

Omg!! The flavor, the smell when I picked this up. The chicken was fall apart but crispy, the spice was perfect! Enough to make your nose run but not overpower you. If you haven't ate here you should. We ate it in the switch, if you haven't try it try it today!!!!

I've had the pleasure of enjoying the food and service from House of Bah on a few different occasions. They have yet to disappoint! I appreciate the attention to detail as it comes to delivery and quality of everything offered. Not only are they professionals, they are warm and friendly too. Had a wonderful meal prepared by House of Bah for a catered event today, and It was delicious!! The Aromatic spices were complex and different in each dish, I can't wait to try more!!
