To start, the employees are very friendly and helpful. They are very gimmicky with their sales and "this is only good for today and the price goes up" type things- but I guess that's to be expected. I frequently use this Hotworx location as it's closer to me, and with small kids I have to go at the last minute. If I have time to plan ahead- GO TO THE ONE ON 144 & CENTER. South 168th is just entirely too busy and the clientele (not all, but a lot) leave something to be desired. At this location, people will just jump in mid session even if they aren't signed up. As someone with severe social anxiety, I actively seek out sessions that I can be alone in. I've also witnessed more often than not people not wiping down their equipment after use, which is GROSS. There are a lot of "higher class" people I would imagine that go here, being on a golf course. However, they being in that entitlement that goes with that. They're more important and can do what they want. Guess what? I'm paying the same price for the membership, so I have just as many rights to comfort as you do. Anyway, I've been here since the beginning of Summer. I'll be cancelling soon, unfortunately. I really enjoy it as a concept I just had another option outside of this one that wasn't a 15 minute drive. The 144th one is great. Bigger lockers that actually fit your yoga mat, updated equipment, I've NEVER had anyone jump in on my session there, and it's quieter and you're able to get in at your desired times.

I am a member at another gym, but decided to join HOTWORX to just get another boost added to my workouts. I had a previous knee injury which prevented me from doing all of my normal activities. Since working out at HOTWORX for only a few weeks now, my flexibility has already improved in my knee. I love the feeling that I get from releasing all the toxins in my body through sweat too. I highly recommend this gym! :-)

Went to HOTWORX with a friend. We tried a yoga session and enjoyed it so much we signed up. The store manager was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of the infrared sauna. There was no pressure to sign up for a membership which we appreciated, although signed up later the next week. HOTWORX offers a variety of workouts spanning from HIIT to iso exercises, these workouts are offered in 15/45 minute class sessions. You can sign up/cancel for a class online with no charge for cancelled classes. Hotworx is also open 24/7 (you will gain a unique code to enter the studio). Only caution is pay close attention to the cancellation policy.

Love being able to workout inside of an infrared sauna any time of the day (24 hour access). Many sessions to choose from ranging from 15-45 minutes. A little bit of everything for everyone. Friendly and fun staff!

If you want to join a gym that you can never get into during core gym hours, then join this one. If you want to go to a place that doesn't value you and is deceptive, go to this one, Hotworx, Gretna. Let's start with the positive, the concept of the place is unique and it felt amazing to workout in a warm room, especially on brutally cold days. But unfortunately there are too many memberships granted to be able to work out during the usual busy gym times (mornings and early evenings). Problem 1: There are 8 small rooms to use @ 2 people per room. I was told that was due to COVID or they would have 3 per room. I don't know how they would do 3 for the standing workoutsas it was a tight fit with 2. Only 4 of the rooms offer classes such as yoga, Pilates, and Barre - again, note that's 2 people per room. When I signed up, it was December and I enjoyed a free month with the commitment/obligation of a 3 month contract. It seemed great. I could pretty much get in whenever I wanted to workout. But when January hit, I could never get a booking at the times I could go (I expected that in Jan being a life-long gym goer and knowing January is always like that. But I couldn't get in and I was paying 60 some dollars per month. Unfortunately, this continued into February and then March. They obviously oversell memberships because others I know that tried to work out there had the same problem. Problem 2 - employees do not clean the saunas in between the work outs. You are supposed to clean the room before you leave but I observed people who didn't clean the room before they left so I had to clean the sauna before and after the workouts. People sweat in a sauna workout, a lot, so I found it a little concerning that there are no health codes that require them to clean in between sessions. (Think tanning beds that have the same issues and the business is required to clean in between sessions). Problem 3. Beware - you will be told you have to make a 3 month commitment with the first month free. Not true and deceptive. I got December free, paid for January and Feb and knew I also was required to pay for March. I didn't want to go beyond that. So at the end of February, I walked into the facility and said I would like my membership to be cancelled at the end of March when my commitment was up. I was told by TWO employees who were working together that I wasn't allowed to give that notice in February. I had to wait until March. I then asked if I had to come on March 1st to cancel because my contract said you were required to give at least a 30 day notice. I was told by both employees that it didn't matter what day in March that I cancelled- that as long as I cancelled on ANY day in March, I wouldn't have to pay for April. I didn't think that sounded right so I said, "Are you sure, because I am willing to come in on March 1st and the contract says I need to give a longer notice. They said no, the owners weren't requiring that, they thought because of COVID. I asked again if they were sure and they said yes. I was reassured more than once by these two young , very sweet young ladies I may add, that I didn't need to worry. So i didn't go on March 1st as I thought I should. I went in on March 10th to cancel. I was then told I had to pay for the month of April as well bc I didn't give 30 days notice in March. when I tried to explain to her what I was told (It was either the owner or the manager based on the response) she stated, "My employees would have never told you that." I was in disbelief bc it made me feel that she was accusing me of lying. I couldn't believe it because this is what I was told, more than once. She told me I must have called the wrong location and I said, "I came in person, it wasn't a phone call". She repeated that I was basically lying several times. It was unprofessional and rude and now I have to pay for another month because she couldn't honor the word of her employees. I don't thing that these employees had bad intentions, I think they gave me information they believed to be true. But I couldn't believe this lady at 2 50 pm on March 10th accused me of lying and wouldn't honor that I had already come in to cancel - twice. I told her I would be leaving a bad review (AND TRUTHFUL) and her response was, "Go ahead!" So here it is y'all. Be warned. Also know that the classes are the same exact classes every single session so you really can't increase strength and i found the classes a little too easy. But that's not my main complaint.

Beware very hard to cancel your membership, while you can sign up online they will force you to come instore to cancel. The workers will show you the contract on the Monitor and scroll through it not being able to read in depth, was charged to additional months ($68) after giving notice to cancel. They are not worried about customer satisfaction only worried about getting your money.
