Not a lot of love it appears for Hotel Deco, but I found the hotel to be well designed and was a pleasure staying there. Rooms were nice and had no issues with check in or out. Location is pretty decent being close to the downtown area of Omaha! Overall great experience and decent pricing!

This hotel is a total disappointment. To be fair its more like a 3 star hotel. Where do I begin, you think you pay more you get more but not true about here. Very low pressure water for the shower. They don't have 24/7 on demand room service for 4 star hotel! Very neutral customer service. Don't have a buffet for breakfast. $25 per night parking fee. Super noisy rooms due to old windows. Usually hotels use soundproof windows but this one uses an amplifier instead! The whole night I can hear cars and motorcycles. And not to mention of, its overpriced compared to what you get. So don't waste your money and get a 3 star hotel. You can save money and yourself from insomnia. Oh , I almost forgot, I asked them for refund and they refused. So not even flexible. When I wanted to pull aside the curtains a lot of dusts went on air.

If I could give negative stars, I would. What a joke of a hotel. Room A/C sounds like a freight train in alllll the 24 (yes 24 rooms) rooms we booked. It's 99 degrees out in August. Good luck trying to sleep. Rooms are dirty and outdated. TV doesn't work. Phone doesn't work. Went downstairs at 7:40pm to order room service. "We don't have room service" was what I was told. Was told I could order to go from the restaurant...except for some reason, they decided to close at 7:30pm. Literally 23 rooms of people for our reservation alone and no one can eat here?? Place is whack with a capital W

There are a couple of drawbacks here. One is the valet service, which is limited. If you get the slow guy when you're trying to check in or out with a vehicle, you could easily be late for wherever you're headed. The rooms, while pleasant, seem to have a 70 degree governor on the heat-side of the thermostats. Had that problem twice. Also found light bulbs out that could have been fixed if those preparing the rooms had been more observant. Comfortable beds but very low to the floor. Showers require reviewing the written instructions. There's also a ramp(at least on seven) in the hallway that's darn hard to navigate if you're using one of the hotel's wheeled carts.

Loved our two night stay this weekend in Downtown Omaha at the Deco! The old vibe draws you in immediately if you let it.There is an amazing history to this property I have discovered from talking to my 94 year old friend who claims the actual Deco hotel was originally a parking garage... and you know what? I believe he is correct .Interesting themes that also correspond with Alice in Wonderland with the carpet, tile, wallpaper and artwork in the main areas and guest rooms. We loved our stay.

First off- I made a reservation for the jacuzzi suite, which was extremely expensive for Omaha. Valet was quick and friendly as was the women checking me in. I was very excited for the treat as I had. Just got done with an extremely busy and very emotional week. My husband was recently killed and this was to be my pre- anniversary celebration to celebrate him, our time together and how hard it has been on me losing him. I get to the room which is a large room with very minimal furnishings and NOTHING EXTRA. No extra blanket, pillows. Walk into the bathroom not a towel to be seen.... Ok... I thought I'll go get ice- no ice machine on this floor, on the 4th floor I was told by a random person passing by. Get my ice, see some towels on a cart and she hands me 3. Hmmm again ok Get back to the room, decide to turn the water on for the jacuzzi... and there's little black specks all over it WTH closer look it's from someone sharing.... I'll use 1 of my 3 towels to wipe down a jacuzzi that should of been cleaned.... Oh no covers on the tub knobs. Turn water on, go pour myself a glass of bubbly... cheers & back to check on the tub, ok it's filling up nicely. Let me call the restaurant and order..... hmm phone doesn't work, isn't charged...????!! My phone is almost dead to I'll let it sit for a bit. Tub looks inviting, still phone doesn't work. Call down to the restaurant ring ring no answer. Pop in to where the jacuzzi is and on the wall is where you turn the knob to start the bubbles. Still in my work clothes, champagne in hand and I turn the knob to be BLASTED AND COMPLETELY DRENCHED. OMG - ....... Hmm did I bring other clothes- yes PJ's - call again no answer, again get front desk and they will transfer me... 5 times and the bloody phone just rings and hangs up. Ok -I've about had it- towel #2 used change head down - 4 people at the front desk (I've kept it together so far) 1 person at the bar, 2 tables with people. So they are not slammed- I ask for the manager- she is promptly there- so very sorry she doesn't know... I order and head back to my room. Food comes. I thought ok - charcuterie board looks picture perfect, refill my glass... grab a slice of prosciutto and the 5 slices all come together because they are hard as a rock, jerky. Go to dip it in the grainy mustard which is hard and has a crust on it, strawberry is juiceless and the nuts are soft and stale..... I can't even believe it. Go and get the entree which in my mind is creamy risotto with 3 maybe 4 sautéed scallops... WTH it's the color of a paper bag, and the rubber minuscule scallops are the size of your pinky nail. This tasted like a can of some random seafood left in a crock pot for to long. Oh wait - the chocolate pot de crema was fine - the banana cheese cake was a take on stale German chocolate cake with 2 1/2" banana chunks sitting beside it. I know this is long- But WTH- mind you I called every day this week to speak to the General Manager and still have not received a call back. Would i recommend this place No- not at all they should be ashamed of everything

We attempted to stay there but Dan was so rude we cancelled. Then we saw Google reviews and understood why it was a good decision to cancel.

These reviews are so bizarre and left me wondering if the people who left them have never stayed in a hotel before. One star because the sheet wasn't fitted? Because you could hear sound through the window? Because breakfast isn't free? Lighten up people -- it's $125 a night and for that price this hotel is AMAZING. I travel for work and have seen the best and the worst, and this one is on the pretty good end of the spectrum. The person at check in was kind, lobby is nice, two elevators, updated hallway, updated room, solid locks on the door and dnd sign, slightly better than normal amenities (keurig coffee maker, make up light, soft towels, nice toiletries, etc). Rooms have clearly been renovated -- decor is hip and contemporary. Shower is nice. Bed is comfortable, with 4 pillows of varying soft/firmness. Walls are thick, I never heard anyone else. People are weird. This hotel is cool, would be happy to stay again.

Please read this entire post. Stay away from this place. Checkin was OK but I quickly noticed that the older ladies that work the front desk are loud and obnoxious. Anyway, after I got off the elevator and was heading to my room, a weird man peeked outside of his room and stared at me as if he was waiting for me to come inside. It didn't feel right. Gave me chills. The look in his eyes made me feel like he was waiting for a prostitute. I kept walking. I drop my things off to go back downstairs to locate a store to buy water. As I walked past the weird man's room, I noticed that he had placed a do not disturb sign on his door (every time I passed by that room there was a do not disturb sign on the door). Something just didn't feel right. Then I walked up the street to the convenience store to get bottled water. I witnessed a drug deal in broad daylight right in front of the store. Druggies, drunks, and homeless people hang out in front. The valet told me to go there!! I ate dinner at their "famed" Monarch restaurant. NO ONE WAS THERE DINING EXCEPT ME!! Their website says that the Monarch is the "Number 2 restaurant in Omaha". Maybe in their dreams. Day 3: I go to the elevator that morning to go to the fitness center that is located in the basement. The weird man was standing there in his business suit. He was polite and asked me to step in the elevator first (as a typical gentleman would) but I declined because I needed the second elevator that takes you to the basement. I finish my workout. FYI, there's no AC in the basement. I go to the restaurant to pickup breakfast to take to my room. NO ONE is there. Not even the staff to take my order. I go to the front desk and ask if the restaurant is open. I'm told that they would call someone to come up to help. Not kidding: THE WEIRD MAN COMES TO GREET ME AND ASKS WHAT I WANT TO ORDER. Y'ALL!!!!!HE WORKS AT THE HOTEL! OMG!!! Suffice it to say that he didn't come back with my order. He sent someone else to take my order again and she seemed a bit nervous but very sweet and polite. LET ME BE CLEAR: THE WEIRD MAN THAT I SAW PEEK THROUGH THE HOTEL ROOM DOOR ON MY FLOOR WHO HAD THE LOOK OF WANTING IN HIS EYES WORKS AT THE HOTEL. LIKE, HE IS IN MANAGEMENT AND HE'S KEEPING THAT ROOM OCCUPIED FOR HIMSELF AND HIS "ACTIVITIES"!!! I ended up having to stay in Omaha an extra night. So I ran for the hills. The valet at my new hotel asked why I was only staying one night (just more of a hey just an in/out stay?). I explained that I had been in town already for a couple of days but checked out of the hotel where I had been staying to be in a better place. He responds: let me guess you were at the Deco? I said yes. He said, I wouldn't recommend that place to a sewer rat. He also shared that nine months ago someone jumped off the roof of the Deco and landed on top of the hotel's own branded valet car that is parked in front of the valet stand. Needless to say that the person died and instead of the hotel replacing the car, they just replaced the roof of the car that was damaged by the fallen body. Y'all, I'm so done. The locals know this place is terrible!! Don't stay there. The pictures and good reviews are misleading.
