Honest Abe's Burgers and Freedom

I have been obsessed with Honest Abe's since I went to college at UNL. It's been so nice to see them expand all over Lincoln. Whether it's nostalgia or not it's my favorite burger place in Nebraska! You always need to get the Parmesan truffle fries and have a great shot getting a fantastic burger whether you get classic or choose one of their rotating burgers. Always worth the visit and won't ever disappoint.

I've been here multiple times and I recommend trying if you like to try new variations of burgers. They have a rotating menu of burgers and also a non-rotating menu. Their burgers are cooked medium-well as the standard. I like mine medium rare but had to request that specifically. The truffle fries could use a little more truffle flavor, but my favorite were their newly added sweet potato waffle fries. The buns have been a hit or miss. I've been here a couple times where there buns are a little stiff and dry. If you order a burger with cream cheese on it, expect it to be a thick layer. It took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. They have a nice outside area to sit in and lots of seating inside.Overall, I would highly recommend this place!

I love how when you walk into any of the Honest Abe's locations you are greeted by tons of Abraham Lincoln decor. The worker at the register was so friendly and helpful with suggestions for my friends who had never been before. They also were able to make a delicious burger for my friend with a dairy allergy! I ALWAYS get the 1809 burger it is absolutely incredible. The pickled apples on it just make sense. I love the smoky mayo with the apples and the bacon and the gouda. It is a match made it heaven. One of the best burgers I have had hands down. My tots were super crispy and tasty. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much parmesan cheese on them. Highly recommend Honest Abe's if you are in Lincoln! :)

Such BEAUTIFUL burgers here, I cannot!The lady taking the order was not very friendly though;My fiance and I both asked for a burger and salad - but a large size salad without chicken or any extras; just greens + dressing. She was very hesitant to give it and started to say no, but i said I asked for simple greens and dressing at the Meadowlane location, after with she agreed. Paid $2 for it though. We had carried out own steamed veggies from j ok me and wanted just greens to make a makeshift salad.Got it at the end.I ordered the Park Avenue Burger with Grilled Chicken (Grilled Chicken, Wasabi Coleslaw, Steak Sauce).What a lovely burger! This actually tasted like luxury!! Just unbelievably good, I have no words. My fiance got the El Hefe - patty, pico de gallo, ghost pepper cheese, chipotle mayo, tortilla chips - and it was a good flavor!I took a bite of his as well and it was nice. Beef was very soft and cooked perfect and just melted away! Very different flavor profile from mine.He loved it of course !

While in town visiting family, we stopped here. The place was busy but the line moved quickly. I was told this place offers a rotating menu of wacky burgers and that's the truth. I ordered the 1809 burger, if I remember correctly, was bun, meat, a white cheese, dried apples, onion and a special sauce. It was definitely different but tasted good. If you're not interested in a kookie burger, they also offer your typical burger.

Great burgers! Their kids burgers are huge. The staff has always been very kind. We all love Abe's!

We ordered food via the app as we drove to our hotel in Omaha. Picked up the food and took it to eat at the hotel. I left feedback that our orders had 5 out of 7 people's food incorrectly. But Honest Abe reached out and made it right. Thanks for the great service. The food was good and now we know Abe is as Honest as the sign says.

Great staffing. Nice people who are helpful and caring about you and your meal. The large menu is supplemented by a ready willingness to make it your way. Great food in large portions make it a great place to grab a bite. I'm a gluten free veggy and they made me a great meal with no ado. We'll be regulars

We moved here from California and I had been desperate for a replacement of the gourmet burger joints from LA. This place was extremely hyped by others as the best burger place to hit up. I took my family here and the menu was very unique, the asthetics of this place has great appeal and the staff was fantastic. Almost.... To fantastic .... What do I mean by this? Somehow about 5 mins after we placed our order and relocated our seats, due to my indecisive child.. the meals for my family arrived. The first bite of my burger was extremely dry and didn't even seem very warm too. It tasted as if it was cooked an hour in advance and sat in a warming station only to just dry out. I've spoke to others that have been here and their experience was the exact opposite. So... I don't know what to say. Personally the menu choices were not appealing enough to want to return. Sorry Honest Abe's, but I'm being honest.

Waited a whole hour for a stone cold burger. Terrible service even worse food. Unbelievable!
