I drove to Honest Abe's after work because it has been a few months since I got a burger there. I'm glad I did because 1) They have the Woke This Way burger available. It's amazing 2) They are temporarily closing to remodel. If you have a craving for an Honest Abe's burger, show up soon!

The place was nice and put together, the burger tasted amazing. I liked the chill music in the background as well. The only reason why I'm not rating this place five stars is because it was kinda expensive.

Honest Abe's is a fantastic burger and shake place in Lincoln. Despite one of its locations being tucked away into a nondescript strip mall, their burgers are so good. I had the 1809, with pickled apples and Gouda and I scarfed the burger down so quickly. The shakes are also delightful and the fry selection is top tier. Couldn't recommend more as a burger place in Lincoln, especially given how pleasant the staff were and how prompt the service was!

I don't know if it's just the nostalgia of this place for me, but I absolutely love Honest Abe's Burgers and Freedom. While it has been several years since I've been in the area, I had to get what I usually have when I come - The 1809. The pickled apples pairs so well with the smoked Gouda, the smoky mayo, and the bacon. They are always on top with their service - super fast and friendly. And let's be honest, I love the homage they pay to our 16th President with the pictures and quotes he said and may or may not have said. If you're in the area of Lincoln, Omaha, Nebraska City, or wherever, check Honest Abe's out.

I'm not a huge burger person but my group raves about this spot, and I can see why! Excellent pairing of flavors on each of the 3 burgers I tried--the United States one might be my new favorite! The tots and fries were both amazing! PLENTY of flavor and seasonings which I love, and crispy to perfection. The shake was a bit rich for me, but my boyfriend devoured the whole thing and loved it.Overall a great spot and one of the best burgers I've had!!

I dreamed about Honest Abe since I moved away to California. I first tried Honest Abe since 2013 when I was in high school on A street. It was the best burger I ever had and none has compared to it. I took all my friends here and they all agree. Not sure what magic they put in the burger but it was like party in my mouth and flavor explosion! Who could have thought a burger can do something like that?!? The patty is crispy and moist, along with the crisp veggies, and their house sauces. Warning that it can get messy, but fear not, they have wet towelette for you! Fries are delicious too, i'd recommended the freedom fries. I wish they have location in Omaha one day but I would still make the drive to Lincoln for Honest Abe!

Honest Abe's Burgers and Freedom is a local burger chain that has several locations (Glynoaks, DT Lincoln, and in the North area of Lincoln). The menu offers various classic and rotating specialty burgers, fries, tots, salads, kid options, shakes, and drinks. We placed an order online for a pickup of the following:+the United States of America - with red onions, pickles, American cheese, mayo, Romaine, and ketchup+the 1809 - with pickled apples, smoky honey mayo, bacon, and gouda+Freedom Fries - house-cut fries with herb mix+Parmesan Truffle Tots - dressed with white truffle oil, parm cheese, and herb mix+Birthday Cake shake - made with ice cream, vanilla cake mix, and birthday cake milk, topped with sprinkles and whipped cream+Bananarama - made with ice cream, banana pudding mix, milk, nilla wafers, and banana candies, topped with whipped creamThe burgers were juicy and had generous toppings; I just wished that they had cooked to the requested temperature, as they were a little too bloody for me. The shakes were a little thin in consistency and tasted slightly grainy.Definitely a better option to dine-in and eat while fresh rather than get the items to go.My favorite was the Parmesan Truffle Tots, as they were crispy and super cheesy from the parm and truffle-y from the oil.Service was super friendly, and I really liked the Lincoln paraphernalia as the decor.Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +Parmesan Truffle Tots+friendly service+plenty of parking in shared plaza lot

Always a great burger at Honest Abe's. We were looking for a quick lunch, and though I wasn't that hungry I couldn't pass up an honest Abe's burger. Counter service was great, the person that took our order was patient while each in our group decided. Our food was done promptly. The space was nice and clean.

Ok - how do you have items like pickled apples, Gouda cheese, gluten free buns and queso cream cheese and you DON'T have sliced tomatoes?!? Granted, not everyone likes tomatoes. Fair. Tomatoes are probably not a 'make or break' for a lot of folks burgers. But it kind of is for me. I want lettuce and tomato. But ok, we were already there I'm not gonna walk out because this place doesn't have tomatoes. That was a mistake.Even if you couldn't care less about tomatoes: the burgers were greasy and sloppy (not in a good way), crazy undercooked, the bacon was barely a step up from McDonald's, parm fries were mid, lettuce was soggy. I am honestly really surprised to see so many 5-star reviews. Judging by that, maybe our food was an anomaly. Take it for what it's worth but we won't be heading back to spend another $60 on indigestion.
