I'm a long time Hilton Diamond traveler. Other than its location, I wouldn't stay here again. The water pressure is horrible unless you shower at 6 in the morning or midnight. The parking is shared with the event area locations, so if you work late it's impossible to find a spot. The AC units don't work very well and are hard to maintain consistent temperatures. I was surprised that the bed was comfortable and the elevators are quick.

Location, location, location.I've written about it before. I'm going to write about it again. This hotel is directly across the street from the local baseball field and the perfect spot if you're visiting for the College World Series. It's also a great place if you're attending an event or conference at the local arena and convention center.Bars, restaurants and some retail are close. So is the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge and its nearby walking exhibits. The Old Market is about five minutes away. The world class Omaha Zoo is about 10-15 minutes away. If you're driving, Dundee, Ak-Sar-Ben and Benson are quick ride. Werner Park and other West Omaha attractions are within a half hour. The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable, if a little bland. My room was nice and clean, but didn't have much to it. The bed and tv were on one side next to a loveseat and coffee table. A wide empty space and then a small table and kitchen area were on the other.Breakfast was disappointing. It was continental, which is fine, however it didn't have many options. The eggs were bland and the sausage was lukewarm and greasy. I ended up with a bowl of cereal. The staff is polite and happy to help. The hotel charges to park in the lot behind the hotel. It was $10 for my stay, which I thought was reasonable, however it might be higher depending on local events.

First the good, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well maintained and worked perfectly. Now the not so good, the outside grill area is dirty, I understand the wind issues but I'm talking about trash that was there for two weeks. They had a hard time keeping the propane tanks full, maybe due to leaks, maybe due to people forgetting to turn it off but they still need to do a functions check. The hot water is an issue, it runs out. It's similar to staying at someone's house, if you shower early you're good but after 7 you have a couple minutes. Room cleaning was a bit weak, it's not terrible, or even bad, just a little more could be done. With this said I would still stay here again, it's a good location and the staff are friendly. My biggest suggestion would be to put some kind of heater by the grill area, it's a nice spot but under used. They could do a lot with the space.

I travel with my job & we stay here often. I've never had any complaints. The staff are always super friendly, the rooms are always really clean, the beds are very comfortable, showers have nice water pressure, check out is 12pm so you don't have to rush, breakfast is always good. The only thing I would change is that they secure the back patio better so that the people that aren't customers can't walk through to find or ask for cigarettes. I highly recommend this Hotel!

This was exactly as advertised - a nicely appointed room that looked like the picture provided. The king bed was comfortable. We liked the overhead fan. The room was clean. We could always use more towels, but that's just us. They're only doing housekeeping by request, which was fine with us - we're not generally very messy. The location was terrific - it wasn't more than 15 minites by car to all of the things we wanted to see. There's an interesting arts maker space behind it, but the offspring wasn't keen to explore. Maybe next time...Breakfast was pretty standard for these types of hotels, but the offspring was glad they had a waffle maker. They had eggs and a meat for the hot food both days (scrambled one day, cheese omelet the next), oatmeal, yogurt, a variety of cereals and carb options. The coffee wasn't great, but did the job.The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Delia when we checked in.Parking is $10/night in an open lot behind the building, with convenient access to multiple doors. There was nothing specific that keeps this at 4 stars (ok, maybe the coffee and the fact that I couldn't figure out the thermostat, so the room was warmer than I like). Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

If you are ever in Omaha and in need of a wonderful place to stay, this is it!!!! Have traveled to many places domestic and internationally but let me tell you, for a reasonable, clean, comfortable home feel away from home, this is it. Friendly, sweet, professional staff. Great included breakfast each morning and Wednesday night dinner with wine and beer. Very accommodating to military and family. Most needs met for handicap accessibility.Shevette and Shane are top notch representatives for the Hilton brand as well as every staff member we've came in contact with. Obviously cannot say enough!! Thank you Homewood! From the Carlson Family

We checked-in on a Thursday and out on a Sunday. So, we were able to see the business clientele and the leisure travelers. There were a lot of families that stayed here during the weekend. If you do not like being around children, do not stay here on the weekend.I was torn between three and four stars. There were a lot of positives about this hotel but the negatives seemed large enough that I went down to a three. The Good:- Recently renovated (finished April 2015) so the entire hotel was nicely appointed- Spacious room. We had a 1 bedroom king and loved having the separate room for our 14 mo old to sleep in while we watched TV or slept.- Overall quiet room. We didn't hear people that we shared walls with but we could hear the hallway guests.- 2 elevators so there wasn't a long wait for them- Friendly staff- Many options on the breakfast buffet- Manager's reception M-Th- Ample parking- Easy to find and accessThe Bad:- The A/C did not allow us to change the "target" temperature. Luckily the room our 14 mo old daughter slept in was at a good temperature but our room would run all night and was down to 62 (brr) when I finally turned it off (at 3:30 am). We turned off the A/C in our room and just used the fan most nights.- The toilet would sporadically run so we had to leave the bathroom door closed to not hear it as loudly- Sometimes the water didn't get very warm/hot. Other times it was fine.- Our key didn't work three times which is frustrating- The key didn't work to get into the pool. One day the door was propped open with a towel and the next, other guests let us in and said the same thing happened with their key.- Pool water was cold- Sunday's breakfast was so busy they couldn't keep up. They were bringing out food that looked cooked but was cold in the middle.Sunday's breakfast was the final straw for us and didn't leave us with the best impression. I'm not saying we wouldn't stay here in the future but there are some things we'd love to see different before we do again.

This place is fine. Actually, the four stars is only because we we're unexpectedly forced to move our reservation here because the Hampton In across the street was closed. Upon arrival, I was informed that not only was the hotel I booked closed, but they didn't have a room for me there. Could have been a bad situation, but the front desk reception were go getters. They called around and didn't find anything suitable, so they upgraded us to adjoining king suites (now my kids want to know why we don't always get that type of room). The rooms were clean and had more than enough outlets. The card reader was out of order on one of the rooms, the front desk, again being go getters, took care of it like it was no problem at all. We did not use the pool, but they are assigning time slots to keep it from becoming crowded. After all of that the only disappointing note was breakfast. It's not very appetizing.

The sheets on the bed fit for only one night after the sheets were changed three times in one day. I stayed for 11 days. Management was unresponsive. The front desk staff was amazing and tried their best to fix issues during my stay. How does a hotel not have king size sheets?
