We lived in this house in Papillion for 3 years and within those 3 years we only asked for Hike Real Estate to take care of obvious minor issues that the owner was responsible for such as trimming the over abundance of trees away from the roof, make the backyard more useable by removing the old mattress spring and old rusted metal container. However it was always like pulling teeth getting our "property manager" to call vendors. Instead, he had us call them which as a previous property manage, I would never make my tenants do. But we took care of the rest including repairing the already broken side gate and we even had to clean the house at move in because it was so dirty. The first year went pretty well however by the 2nd winter, we began having a mice issue. Although contained, or so I thought, just to three kitchen drawers to the left of the sink, it was still not something I was accustomed to and was very unacceptable. What made it worse was these nasty mice had chewed through the plug to the stove, causing a fire the day after Thanksgiving 2016. The fire department showed us where the fire sparked from and there were mice drippings -- proof they had done the damage. This was the only time Hike Real Estate moved quickly on anything. Afterward, the first cold snap, like clock work, the mice would come back and always with a vengeance chew on stuff or leave droppings behind. We eventually stopped using these 3 drawers. We called and complained several times and Hike RE would send out some "friends" of the owners who knew nothing about pest control. And needless to say nothing they did was effective. By the 3rd year and the most aggressive infestation, they were in my basement, in my walls and I finally had enough. This last infestation, 2018, began sooner than winter - as soon as Fall came. I would be woken up at 4:30 every morning with them gnawing and scratching in the walls of my master bedroom upstairs. I finally DEMANDED a more professional exterminator - of my choosing! I told Hike RE that they either fix this problem once and for all or I would go to the health department because my lease entitled me to a rodent free dwelling that is habitable. Do you know, I received a letter 2 days later, dated the day after I demanded a resolve, from an attorney's office for the owner (later found out it was from the office of where our "property manager" was an attorney out of) asking us to move out of the premises within 30 days. We were just getting ready to leave on vacation within a couple of days and were given a notice to vacate!!!!! NE Landlord & Tenant Act states that it is illegal to retaliate against complaints and the date of the letter along with all of my dated emails, texts are PROOF that this was retaliation. So steer clear of this company. They only take yourmoney and know nothing about property management. It was clear by the way they treated us. BTW we not only paid our rent on time, if not early, BUT we left the house cleaner than when we got it. Yes, we got our deposit back but we're due a refund for the several months we paid rent and lived in an inhabitable home. There are MANY other property management companies that are actually professional AND know what they're doing. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! WALK AWAY!!! You'll thank me later.

Had nothing but a great level of service from the Hike team and Justin Gomez! The house was the right price in the right location close to Offutt. I did all the paperwork prior to my arrival and never saw the house, but when Justin met me in the driveway to turn over the keys and do a walk through, the house and yard matched what I saw online. The few issues I had with the house over the last three years (furnace and a water leak) Justin had a service person on site within hours. I just cleared due to a move, and again no issues. I did agree to pay them for the carpet cleaning since they were going to look to decide if it was going to be a replace, or just clean. I would use them again if I moved back to Offutt.

Rented a older but nice house for three years from Justin Gomez. The house was built in the 70's. It had an out dated washing machine that had to be replace twice. Both times he replaced it with used washing machines. When we moved out he billed us over $4000 dollars in unjustified repairs to include: The bed rooms had original sliding closet doors, billed us to replace. Bath room had original light fixtures, billed us to replace. Original kitchen sink and faucet, billed us to replace. landscaping bill, dog poo removal (we didn't have any pets). 1 small dime size ding to aluminum siding (billed $2000 to replace one siding strip and paint the entire house).Justin Gomez of Hike Reality is the worst, Total Cons!!

Justin Gomez is by far the best realtor I have ever worked with. Following Justin's advice, we sold our home faster and made more money than we were expecting. If you are even thinking about selling your home or looking for a new one give Justin a call

Don't go here. They treat you nice when your moving in but are complete scumbags when you move out. He said we needed to clean professionally and replace the 15 year old carpet. That was all wear and tear. Also that we caused over 3,000 dollars in damages.

We recently sold our home with the owner of Hike Real Estate, Rusty Hike. Let me just state for the record I've had no experience with any of his other agents, just Rusty himself. At first, everything went great. I contacted Hike Real Estate to tell them we were interested in selling, and Rusty himself got back to me right away. He came and looked at the place and put together a very thorough market comparison for us. But beyond that, our experience with Hike Real Estate has been less than impressive. Rusty doesn't return phone calls, misses appointments without calling to inform us or reschedule, and we firmly believe he convinced us to ask under what we originally wanted just to get the house sold more quickly. (He advised us that we should ask for $102k instead of our desired $110k, but shortly afterward I watched several houses in the area go for $110k-120k and I know our house is in better condition, bigger, and more updated - we easily could have gotten $108, but now it's too late.) The bottom line is that we successfully sold our home with Rusty, and achieved our (low) asking price. If that's all that matters to you, then maybe he's the right choice. But if you're looking for someone with any sense of professionalism or punctuality, choose another agent. We didn't go through him to buy our new house, so I don't know how he is as a buyer's agent, but as a seller's agent he leaves a lot to be desired.
