Highlands Animal Hospital

We travel full time in our RV and we were staying with a friend for a few weeks and wanted to get our cat in for a check up and to have a lump evaluated since we weren't able to do that with our vet back home before we started traveling due to covid. Highlands got our cat in within a week and gave her a thorough exam. They determined the lump was benign and that she needed a dental (which we knew she needed since she has dental issues and hadn't had a cleaning in almost two years). I asked if they could fit her in for a dental and they reworked their schedule to accommodate her and we decided to remove the mass while she was under anesthesia. Dr. Behrens was great about explaining the procedures to me and Fluffeee did great with no problems after we took her home. To top off our wonderful experience, they were also very reasonably priced (especially after prior vet experiences in Colorado and California)! I would recommend this vet to anyone who lives in the area or is passing through and needs a caring vet to take care of their fur kids!

Dr. Smith is the best. Very few vets I know of are as caring and compassionate. I highly recommend Highlands Animal Hospital.

We love visiting Dr Behrens! My dog Oakley has anxiety and extreme fear of people, but Dr Behrens and her staff are always so patient and loving with him, always taking it slow so that he feels the most comfortable. All the staff makes sure that we feel welcome and are informed about our pet's health and well being. They also provide affordable over night kenneling. Overall amazing experience every time we go!

I had the unfortunate experience of having an ill puppy while traveling home for the holidays and was extremely lucky to find Highlands Animal Hospital along the way! The staff was kind enough to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday and were compassionate in caring for my pup. We were in and out efficiently and with well wishes for a great rest of our trip...thank you so much for the great care (and the towel to clean up the mess!)

Dr Smiith took excellent care of my cat from 2 mos until her passing at 18 years old. He has always been compassionate and candid. At the end he handled the situation so kindly and I knew that I was making the right decision for her. Highly recommend.
