Great spot to get a drink! This is my favorite place for a drinks and apps date. Their seasonal cocktails are delicious! I tried their boozechata which is a horchata with whiskey. So yummy! Had a great balance of alcohol and horchata. I also love their clam dip! It has a ton of clam/cheesey goodness in it! I always have to asks for extra bread to dip in it.

A couple of friends and I met up for drinks here on a later Friday evening and the restaurant was fairly quiet, so we were able to be seated at a booth in the back quickly. The atmosphere inside is very nice - a bit dark, but cozy with couches along the back wall of windows rather than standard tables and chairs. Our waitress was very nice and checked in on us several times. I went with the Earl's Torment and I would highly recommend it if you like tiki drinks - it had all the tropical flavors and some sweetness. One of my friends got a mocktail with Abuelita syrup (I think it was called Panela?), which was EXCELLENT. Do not sleep on the mocktail menu here, they are crafted with care and creativity!I did also end up getting the King Cake bread pudding based on other reviews here and I was not at all disappointed! It came out hot, sweet, and full of flavor. it also looked beautiful with the traditional colored sprinkles. We weren't here for dinner, but the menu was not vegetarian friendly, so I will stick to drinks and dessert here or possibly brunch! What we came for, though, was great!

Have had three return visits over the years to Herbe Sainte. Not as enamored as previously. Went for lunch earlier this week. Nola shrimp appetizer was great, nicely spicy sauce. Gumbo was good. Peppery. The flavors didn't do a great job of hanging together, but still good overall.Crawfish etouffee was a disappointment. Tiny pieces instead of bigger chunks of crawfish, and a dislikable cheesy flavor. Neither Trish nor I could eat more than a bite or two.Service was OK. Main dish came out on top of the appetizer which I generally don't care for, but Trish made a good point about some patrons being on a limited time schedule at lunch.TL;DR: Get the Nola shrimp. Don't get the etouffee.

I had been wanting to try Herbe Sainte for a very long time, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great, with a cool seating setup and bar scene. Wait staff is quick, kind, and attentive. The drinks are delicious. We ordered the artichoke crab dip, surf and turd linguine, and chicken jambalaya. Everything tasted amazing! I look forward to going back and trying different dishes.

Perfectly delightful cozy space! I come here often during business trips as I can immediately slip into feeling relaxed and comfortable. Each person has been so helpful and welcoming. I'm not able to have very spicy food because my mouth is too sensitive. So, I ask for a little less spice. Helps me get the AMAZING flavors without too much burn.

Service was very fast and friendly and the decor is really nice. I brought my boyfriend here who was visiting from out of town. He's from New Orleans so I thought he would enjoy the food. The étouffée was pretty tasty and quite a big helping. The gumbo was an oddly small bowl with more rice than soup. The read beans and rice weren't so good, we didn't eat much of them because the beans tasted firm and undercooked. The artichoke crab dip was great. Most of the menu items weren't really authentic to New Orleans food but I'm glad that most of what we ordered tasted good. I probably won't be back because I live across town and there are other restaurants I will be trying.

Stopped in for dinner for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I started with a cup of gumbo, which I wish I would've ordered without the scoop of rice, but it was very tasty and had a nice kick to it. For an entrée I had the short ribs which hit the spot. Service was good and quick. The restaurant was a bit noisy for the amount of people there, but not overpowering. Must be the open ceiling. They also had some beautiful artwork that I captured a pic of including the artist information which I will attach.

We're huuuuuge Herbe sainte fans now! We came in one Sunday and the brunch menu didn't look appetizing so we left. This is a smaller restaurant with a few spots, but some very intimate seating. However, we came back on a Wednesday night before a movie and could have died happy that night from our last meal. We also had to sit at the bar because everything else was booked or full. The bartender was working hard (forgot her name), and the food came out quickly. This gumbo is to die for! And I've grown up with some Louisiana gumbo. The artichoke crab dip was probably my favorite dip to date. You can get it gluten free too! The drinks were so unique and delicious! Definitely go during their happy hour and save some $$! We're going back!!

Great small spot to grab a bite of flavorful southern cuisine. Cute cocktails, smaller sized menu to match the restaurant size--probably seats about 50-60 in a large room with very high ceilings.Great service--we got a party of 20 across a few couches which was perfect. Server did a great job splitting things and food came out hot and quickly! I would definitely come back!
