This place is definitely is my kind of hang out. Super-casual lounging and eating space and lots of different varieties of dining such as snack food, lunch/dinner grub and quite a few sweet dessert options. Some of the highlights of things that they have for snack food: elote corn on the Cobb, elote style in a bowl, wings, nachos, quesadilla, burrito, street tacos with various meat options. They have horchata, 10 flavors of ice cream with toppings and 15 or more flavors of Popsicles both in the juice water variety and milky variety. In the glass case you can get different Jell-O and caramel Flan options, as well as the strawberries and cream dessert and mangonada Mexican culture is famous for!Overall they have so many things that there is something for everyone in your group of friends or family. It's a insanely affordable and provides a friendly cheerful well lit place to hang out and socialize for a while with no pressure or wait service pushing you to leave. Totally recommend- but bring cash!

I went to Helados Santa Fe to get Tostilocos, and the first day I went, my Tostilocos had no sauce and no limón -- bc of COVID I got carry out and when I got home is when I realized. I ended up adding salsa Valentina and limón and it ended up being fine. I returned the next day to buy ice-cream, and out of curiosity I also bought Tostilocos again. This time my Tostilocos had all the flavor and a piece of limón. I felt a little disappointed that that's not what I had gotten the day before. Bc of the inconsistency in service I won't be giving them five star. The ice-cream they sell is really good and flavorful and that is why I returned the next day. Only thing that annoys me is that they don't have a label for the ice-cream and you have to continuously ask "What flavor is this?" and the employees also don't seems to know lol

If you know me at all, you know I'm serious about elotes. Gimme some fresh street corn any day!A friend and I stopped in yesterday to try out this cafe, and we were met with bright hues, friendly (and patient with us gringos) staff, and HUNDREDS of options.Between the two of us, we got a couple orders of elotes, a chicken taco meal (more like taquitos than tacos, but super yummy), two horchata (because always...) and a couple packaged items.I was not thrilled by the elote, although it did manage to satisfy the craving for the day. They served it in a styrofoam bowl, and did it layered, with all the corn at the bottom and the mayonnaise/Parmesan/seasonings at the top. After mixing it in, I was bummed to notice that the corn seemed to be just canned, not fresh sweet corn. Some cilantro and lime would go a long way in freshening this dish up, but unfortunately they don't add that to theirs either :( .The horchatas were average as well-sweet, hint of cinnamon, but not particularly thrilling. The taco plate looked delicious, but it wasn't my order ;) my friend enjoyed it, and it was presented well, served with salsa verde, sour cream, cilantro, onion and avocado. I think I'll revisit later this summer to try the frozen treats and a taco or two!

If you are a consignor of ice cream you have to add this place to your list. They have several flavors and may unique ones. I'm a fan of coffee ice cream and they had three different coffee flavored options! My mom branched out and tried the tequila ice cream and loved it. They also had flavors like pistachio which is another personal favorite. The servings are generous and the pricing is very reasonable compared to some of the other ice cream shops around town. The ladies working the counter were very helpful and willing to explain all the flavors and offered up a sample. We will definitely be back!

Apparently we were on a roll for sweets at the end of this year's Tour de Taco, so we audibled to Helados Santa Fe for a closer. I will say that if you don't mind moldy dank smells, feel free to enjoy your ice cream and pelatas inside. William G. and I ventured outdoors and commenced some kind of accidental speed eating competition to finish before our treats melted.I enjoyed a paleta (think popsicle) of the pineapple-chile variety, and since this was also my first time having paletas... I see more of these in my future with all the interesting flavor options! Here's what they have on tap here.Paletas:Arroz - RiceBolisChicle - Bubble GumChoco-Chip Coco - CoconutEsquimales - Eskimos?Fresa - StrawberryFresas c. Maybe that's the Mantecado y Chocolate? Maybe I can go back tomorrow?

I can spend $5 per person at the local froyo shop and not blink an eye, yet when these folks charge me $3.75 for three desserts (a scoop of mango, a scoop of chocolate, and a flan to go for a late afternoon treat) I did a double take. Are you sure you're charging me the correct amount? Are you sure you calculated ALL three of our orders? Yup. It's that ridiculously affordable.More flavors of ice cream (including lime flavor sprinkled with chili powder) and fruit bars than your local Baskin Robbins, Helados Santa Fe is my new post-dollar-taco-lunch-binge go-to place. Haven't your heard? Ice cream fills in the cracks, so no matter how full you are, there's always room for homemade ice cream. And don't forget to grab a flan to go. Why eat donuts for breakfast when you can have flan?!

Great little hole in the wall in South Omaha. Best Elotes (corn cobs covered in cheese and some white sauce). The also have decent ice cream and shakes. It's very informal and always full and loud. You feel transported immediately to another place!

Just went here today for the first time and LOVED the ice cream. I got the strawberries & crema in a cone and it was perfect for me... I don't love when ice cream tastes overly sugary. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back.
