Heavy Brewing

This place holds such a special spot in my heart because it's a tradition for my mom and me to get pizza and beer before I fly home. We always come here to say goodbye and do one last thing together before I leave. One time, we had a little too much fun here and I missed my flight, but that's a story for another day!The pizza is always great, and we love sitting up at the bar. One of the bartenders even recognized me from the year before, which made the experience feel extra special. The beer is always really good, and we like to try something new since they rotate flavors.I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Such a cool vibe, and the place is huge--would be a fun spot for events!

This place was an interesting find....I thought my navigation was taking me off path as Heavy Brewing is tucked into an industrial area in Gretna. Upon entry, its definitely a warehouse feel with lots of open seating, a bar and area for corn hole competitions. A couple of negatives were the beer and pizza purchases had to be separate transactions, it was a bit noisy (cornhole announcements) and I don't recommend the "My stripper name is cinnamon" beer. However, they had some excellent IPAs, I loved the pizza (hot honey was delicious), service was good and the vibe was a lot of fun with good music and lively atmosphere. It was completely full on a Wednesday night with families and adults alike.

Prices are really great here for a brewery, the pizza is really great as well, I would highly recommend getting food there. You have to go to the counter to order which isn't bad, and sometimes is more beneficial. They have pinball and a few other games which is cool to play. I wish they had more mixed drinks, but I do understand its a brewery...not a bar.Great place!

Heavy brewing is a fun place to hang out for a great brew! The food is also fabulous. We've come for events with our realtor and they've always had great food and drinks, but finally my husband and I came for an event so I can finally rate it. The brews are always top notch, and super fun flavors. Tonight, I had the "my strippers name is cinnamon," "Vienna oak job," black cherry, and "creepy dunkel Larry." The old fashioned and espresso martini are also great! They have a pizza oven that always makes the pizza crust crispy and well cooked. Pretzel sticks are also a great option, and the chips and salsa! You can't go wrong here, and there's plenty to try.

This place is awesome. Beer is great, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Full kitchen with delicious food. They have a large private room, and bay doors that open on nice days. Cool arcade games too. We came in October and they had several Octoberfest style beers including a marzen and festbier.They also have non alcoholic beer (Athletic brewing), which is huge for people in your group who want the taste without the ABV.

I'll start with the disclaimer that I'm not a beer fan but I do appreciate when breweries have food options and non beer drink options. We've been to Heavy Brewing twice; once when they first opened in fall of 2022 and then last week. I got the BBC pizza both times and really enjoyed it. I love bbq based pizzas and especially wood fired. It had brisket and cheese curds, a must try in my opinion. I'll leave the beer review to someone more qualified but excited to see they had expanded their non beer options the second time we went. They have basic wine, some classic cocktails and I was told they would be getting cider, which is exciting. Would love to see this expand more with maybe some local options like Glacial Till Cider. Lots of seating available as it is in a warehouse type building and offers a private room and outdoor games.

My wife and I stopped here on the way to date night for a quick bite and some beers. We've never been here before, so I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately we couldn't try as much as we normally would because we had no way to store or secure leftovers. We ordered a single pizza, the BBC. My wife also got a beer, "You're My Beer, Blue", and I got an orange mead. I was excited for the mead and it did not disappoint. It was $6 which is fairly reasonable, and my wife's beer was $7.50 for a 16 oz. All the options for beer come in two to three different sizes and there are a few rotating offerings. The pizza was pretty good, thin crust that was cooked so it was chewy but not too soft and the flavor was delicious. Staff was very friendly and there are TVs for adults and a small arcade for children. It's nice to have a brewery that has a dining area that is child-friendly. I would highly recommend Heavy Brewing for date night or family night.

I absolutely hated everything about this place. Right before you walk in all you can hear is kids screaming... when you walk in it smells like feet and pizza. The service was okay, beer wasn't anything special, a huge mess of step stools by pinball machines that you almost trip over. I wont come back

The food was very disappointing. The pizza was burnt on the bottom, the mac and cheese bites were made with Kraft, and I am pretty sure they used premade Panda Express sauces for the chicken. However, the pretzels were good. The beer was decent, but the description didn't match the taste. The employees were packing up the place over an hour before closing which made us feel rushed out. I did enjoy the music, board games, and arcade games available.

The beer selection is great and the beers taste amazing! Service is impeccable. Everyone was extremely courteous, kind and helpful. Last but not least the pizza is absolutely incredible. It is made with such fresh ingredients and tastes fantastic.
