I hope people write good reviews on here and not only bad ones we had a great experience the last time we went was our first visit ever at an urgent care center they did an amazing job treating my son fast and friendly staff all the way around unfortunately will be making another visit tonight I can honestly say I'm looking forward to it it's way better than the emergency room and works out well when you're not able to get into your regular doctor or need after hours care

This place is really bad. Went here awhile back when there were still doing "drive up" service when I had symptoms of a sore throat. To say that service was slow is an understatement, you wait in your car for someone to come out and ask what's going on, then they make sure you pay, ($50) then finally the doctor or NP came out to assess me. They brought a COVID test that I never asked for...my main symptom was a severe sore throat so I wanted to be tested for strep. Clearly I know nothing can be done for COVID other than riding it out. After the COVID test I had to basically demand a strep test even though I continued to be told it was respiratory...with severe throat pain. Finally I did get my strep test which was negative, but still...some work needs to be done in listening to the concerns of patients and what they are wanting by coming in.

My star is only for the receptionist, she was sweet.I arrived at 7:30 am w/ a terrible cold and rash on my hands. I wanted to be early in case they wanted to put me in a room and not have me in the waiting area. Website says opens at 8am, sign on door says open at 8am and they finally decided to open at 8:10. After paper work I was taken back quickly, vitals done and waited on doc. After about 5mins the NP comes in, looks at my hands for like 10secs and says "you have scabies". Scabies?! WTH are scabies? She told me several ways to get them, AND I HAD DONE NONE. So she says I'm a mystery? She proceeded to walk out and I said "And my cold?" To which she replied "ohh uhhh ya" in a blink she was done. And walked out. She gave me Tamiflu and a lotion to kill the scabies. And so.... After getting in my car and looking up scabies, I myself who is not a doctor, knew that she was indeed a quack and I did not have scabies. So I took myself to Bryant ER. And there, the fabulous ER NP told me I did not have scabies, I had a minor skin irration and I had the flu on top of it. No meds were given, as the flu is viral and being as though I've had my symptoms for over 48hrs Tamiflu WOULDNT help! As for the skin rash, an OTC hydrocortisone cream was advised.Heartland Urgent, I, nor my family will ever return to you. And I will advise friends to stay away.

Wow. Clearly this place doesn't learn (see Mike W.'s review from 3/17/2014, which is almost exactly like ours). Showed up at 7:35 with our 3-year-old running a high fever, after calling before we left our house (about 10 minutes away) to see if they'd still be open and/or if we needed an appointment. Never was the HARD 7:30 policy mentioned. When we arrived, the door was locked. I waved at staffers passing in the halls. And they didn't even bother responding. Even if they weren't able to see our daughter, they could have done like the another urgent care that we next called did and direct us to a place that could see her (like Mike, we went to LincCare, which provided excellent care). I called Heartland Urgent Care (which lacks both "heart" and urgency when it comes to seeing patients) office just now. I told the receptionist my story, for which she offered no apology. (I didn't check the reviews before doing so, so I see there is a pattern here).Again, I understand the policy of not seeing people passed 7:30. But it would have been both professional and kind to at least acknowledge our presence and help us find someone who could see our daughter. Shameful. I'm calling the BBB next.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. This place is terrible! They were rude and short from the second I walked in there. It was clear that me walking in there a half hour before closing was a huge inconvenience to them. When it came time to leave I was told that because I was self pay it would be $100 for the visit and I was hurried through the payment process, later I received a bill for an additional $200. Any additional payment beyond the $100 at the time of the visit was never discussed with me... maybe because the front desk staff just wanted to get me out of there so they could go home. I never would have agreed to a treatment for a soar throat had I been explained that I would cost a total of $300!When I called later to discuss my bill with the manager, she chuckled and said there was nothing she could do.

I was seen by Kate today at the 27th street location and she was very easy to work with and made me feel very comfortable. She listened to my concerns and was quick to take care of my needs. Everyone has always been so friendly when I've gone in and I will continue to go to that location.

Short StoryMy 5 month old baby was denied medical care for unknown reasons, without any staff looking at his medical history or even being checked in. Nobody looked at him. He was diagnosed the following day with Covid, in addition to viral pneumonia and a double ear infection.Long StoryI've been using this urgent care for 7 years, usually when my kids get sick over the weekend. Most of my experiences have been good. Recently however, I took my 5 month old baby in at 7:20 on a Friday night. A family member had tested positive for Covid that day and baby was showing similar symptoms.I explained this to the receptionist, along with my concerns that it may be Covid. She took my concerns back to the Provider instead of checking us in. She didn't let me finish telling her all of his symptoms, or ask if there was anything else. She did not know his medical history or anything else about him, only that he had been exposed to covid. I'm thinking, okay. Maybe they have a special room for Covid, or maybe the provider has to be ready with extra protective gear. I wait patiently.Online they state that they take their last patient at 7:40. I know it's late (I got there at 7:20, remember?), but I'm trying to avoid the ER and find out if we need to isolate him from our other kids. I was there with time to be seen before they close at 8. This is relevant. The receptionist comes back and I glimpse the provider in the hallway behind her. She explains that the symptoms aren't enough for them to test for Covid, the provider says it's probably just a virus, and so on. She instructs me to go home, and come back tomorrow if it gets worse. It is now 7:34. I've waited almost fifteen minutes to even be checked in. I have my ID and insurance cards in my hand, waiting. My baby has been fussing and crying in his carseat the entire time. He's covered in a blanket.I go back to my car, somewhat in shock. I look back and see the provider turning the lights off and locking the door behind me before I've even opened the car door. He makes eye contact, then walks away. I will point out here that not a single member of the staff even LOOKED at my baby. Why did we get sent home without even being seen? Was it because it was late on a Friday night? Did I seem like an overly anxious mother? Whatever the reason, we were denied care.He was the same the next day. Thankfully our pediatrician has Saturday hours and got us in. He tested positive for Covid, in addition to having a double ear infection and viral pneumonia. It was a scary couple of weeks. Our three older kids tested positive five days later.Yes Dr. It was viral. I shudder to think what would have happened if we had listened to this man instead of following our instincts and getting him the medical care he needed someplace else.We will be looking at other urgent care offices that take our insurance. Shame on you for turning people away.

my wife brought my daughter here because she was running a fever for several days. after running several tests yielding no results they said they won't rule anything out and sent her away with nothing. she continued to have a fever for two more days before we had to take her elsewhere. What is the point of this place if we just have to go to a doctor or e.r. anyways. This place was such a disappointment it should be criminal to be charged money.

Had excellent experience at Heartland Urgent care from receptionist, nurse, and provider. I usually go the VA clinic in Lincoln and when they weren't returning my calls and emails, I went to urgent care. I had nearly forgotten what caring and friendly medical care and attention was. They even called to check up on me twice! The VA should follow this urgent care's example.
