My daughter and I love this studio! The ballet instructors provide the perfect balance of compliments and constructive comments. They teach in an engaging manner that is very respectful and considerate to the budding ballerina. The atmosphere at the studio is welcoming and the students are very friendly. My daughter really feels at home here. These things are more important to her than the quality of ballet training that she is receiving, which is top notch. She doesn't have plans for a professional dance career but I like knowing that Heartland Conservatory of Dance would set her on that path if she chose to. Meanwhile she is learning to be the best dancer she can be in an environment that is challenging as well as encouraging!

Rachel and her teachers give high quality instruction to dancers of all ages. They are committed to developing ballet technique through age- and skill-appropriate programs, and to providing performance opportunities for dancers who are at a preprofessional level.

This is the best dance studio in Omaha and surrounding areas. The director is a wonderful person and all the staff truly care about their students. Each student is given attention and provided the opportunity to go as far as they desire in their Dance education. Heartland Conservatory of Dance provides youth with performance and learning the art of dance and the art of performing. These young students are learning more than just dance, they are learning life skills that will continue to provide our community with a motivated, well balanced work force.

Our family moved from Seattle to Omaha this past year, and were hoping that we could find a dance studio for our daughter that was of the same caliber as her previous ballet school. We were fortunate enough to learn of Rachel Vickrey and Robin Welch through a lucky conversation with a stranger on an airplane to Omaha. Once we contacted Rachel, we learned that she and Robin had been connected personally and professionally to our daughter's previous ballet teacher- we knew instantly that we had found the right place. Our daughter has enjoyed every minute of her classes at Heartland Conservatory of Dance and has even mentioned on occasion that she enjoys dancing here more than she did back in Seattle because of the personal attention she gets from her teachers along with many more opportunities to perform. The teachers at HCD truly care about each of their students and strive to provide the absolute highest quality ballet instruction in all of Omaha. The dancers learn wonderful technique, build discipline, make lasting friendships and are encouraged daily to be their best selves in and out of the dance studio. We have found our dance family and cannot recommend HCD highly enough!
