I have been seeing Dr. Arneson for a few years and always had a good experience. I recently brought our son is for his first appointment and he was nervous at first, but Dr. Arneson and his staff did a great job helping him calm down and providing a fun atmosphere for him. Would highly recommend!

The staff is very rude to new customers. I made an 8:00 am appointment for my husband 1.5 weeks in advance, and when he went in for his appointment at 8:10 am, the receptionist said "You're too late, better go catch your ride" in a condescending tone. I understand we were late, but if that's the response your receptionist is going to have for my husband when 1) his frames have been broken for weeks, 2) he's blind as a bat without them, 3) it was difficult enough to get an appointment 10 days out, so of course he doesn't want to wait more, and 4) he was only 10 MINUTES late, then we won't accept that treatment. If you're looking for a new eye doctor and want to be treated with respect and reasonable behavior, do not come here.Full disclosure: After her rude and condescending response, my husband called the receptionist a c**t. Would I have done that? No. But should we receive that kind of service when we were just 10 minutes late? Definitely not.2 stars we're given because the receptionist I made the appointment with was very nice and helpful.

We have always went to this eye clinic. My whole family has gone for over 20 years. The eye doctors are incredible, but we had a horrible experience today. We went in for my child's lens to be changed. Since she only had the frames for 6 months. We were never quoted a price and were told not to worry about it since we had two eye insurances. So I was shocked when I was told the lens were close to 200 dollars. That is more than I paid for the lens and frames, 6 months ago. I was told that I was quoted, but a quote sheet was not in our file. They tried to bully us into keeping the 200 dollar lens, but we decided against it. We went out to Walmart and got the same lens for 89 dollars without insurance since their claim froze us. I'm upset because I really like the 2 doctors, but can't trust that they will treat us fairly. I canceled my appointment and will need to find a new eye doctor. :(

I have gone to Dr Arneson for as long as I can remember. It's always a great experience! I love how professional they are yet they are also so personable. Makes me feel like part of the family there!

Hastings Vision Clinic has the best staff who's always very helpful, curteous, and knows our whole family on a first name basis. They have a great variety of frames, contacts, etc. to choose from. Our family has done business with them for over 30 years and wouldn't go anywhere else!
