Harrah's hotel is a solid spot to stay in Council Bluffs.I was in town for a music festival being held at Stir Cove. We opted to stay a few nights and Harrah's didn't disappoint. The rooms were nicely updated and clean. I take insanely hot showers and am constantly disappointed by hotel showers-- this one didn't disappoint though! Parking was a non issue. Staff was friendly at the hotel desk and at the bar of the casino itself. There's a bunch of eateries at the casino and a super cool 12th floor steakhouse.A few things to note:- Pricing was a bit steep IMO, especially since there are some pretty stellar hotels across the river in Omaha.- My room was never 'serviced' during my stay which wasn't the end of the world by any means but it'd have been nice to have the trash taken out.- I was shocked to find a non smart TV in the room. (So you're kind of at the mercy of what is on vs being able to access your Netflix/Hulu/etc.)- There is a small fridge but no microwave.- The casino floor itself is pretty small, there's not a ton of options besides countless slot machines. Goodness did I have terrible luck at the slots this trip :) - There's no swimming pool!

I hate to have to type this. This used to be one of my favorite places to go, but that was before COVID and before their remodel to rid themselves of the riverboat they needed to have for gambling. Now, its a disappointment. So, for $148, you get:Room Service only between 4 and 9 pmNo free breakfast like a lot of hotels of lower class offerA casino area with only snack food within the ropes.Mainly slots, not a lot of real table games. Two restaurants, not 7 like their website claims - they're adding Horseshoe's restaurants to theirs. You have two - Guy Fieri's themed restaurant and the fancy 360 on the roof. Guys is only open starting at 8 am. I start my day at 6 am and I had a hungry 5 year old, so I had to drive over to Lake Manawa to get McDonalds at 6 am in the morning for pancakes. Naturally, with the name, Guy's isn't cheap.$3 bottled water in the room (Can normally buy for $1.49 at the speedee mart that's nearby)Like I said, I was so disappointed in my experience. I wanted to come in (we came in late), get some good food for the wife who was having surgery the next day, then sleep. The beds were comfortable, and the climate control worked (unlike another hotel I stayed at two days prior), so that saved it for us. Still, I won't be choosing Harrah's for my next stay in Omaha.

Stayed 2 nights so that we could shop in Omaha. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. The pillows not so much. Nice larger mini fridge, but only one packet of coffee for two guests for two nights is not great. The bathroom was a nice size for a regular room. Staff was friendly, parking is easy; lot or garage. Only two restaurants to choose from, so we went in to Omaha for dinner. There's a shuttle between this casino and the Horseshoe that runs frequently until 1 AMish, which is great. We'd stay here again, and it looked like the outdoor concert venue would be pretty neat.

The room is okay. It was clean and I appreciated how much of the outside noise didn't care in. That being said - I have a couple of disappointments. One that has bothered me and I tend to forget whenever I stay here - no microwave in the room (you are able to go down to the main desk and use the microwave in the little shop, but honestly it's not convenient. If Harrah's doesn't want to be like most hotels and have a microwave in the room - the least they could do is have one on every floor so it is more convenient.

We came here for the steak house inside the casino. The steak was raw inside even it was nicely presented . Our friends also ordered lamb chops and other steaks , all were undercooked. We would not plan to return . It is ashamed because the steaks were good quantity cuts .
