This was my very first time visiting Hand Me-Ups and I was pleasantly surprised! I found the store to be very clean and well organized. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions and prices were very fair. The store itself is quite large and was simple to maneuver through even with a stroller. I was fortunate enough to go on a sale day, so my finds were even cheaper! One of the highlights for me was how inexpensive their children's books were (I believe they were 3 for $1). Will definitely be returning!

Perhaps the best thrift store in the Metro. So big, very clean and well organized. Huge amount of very nice home decor as well as clothing.

With a lot of the big name thrift stores having lost their way, it's a real treat to come across a place like Hand Me-Ups. Huge selection of everything from knickknacks to books to holiday decor. This local thrift store has it all. The workers are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their sales are fantastic. Plus best of all they are helping out a good cause instead of putting the money into a CEO's stuffed pockets. All of those reasons make Hand Me-Ups a must visit for thrifting in Omaha.

My favorite thrift store!!I'm not sure why the comments say it's pricey... I think the prices are totally reasonable, PLUS the money is going to help disabled adults. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I think they have a great variety of items, I definitely tend to have better luck finding quality things here than goodwill. My only complaint- I wish they were open on Sunday's or later during the week. It's hard for me to get there during work hours during the week and Saturdays tend to be pretty busy. It would be a perfect Sunday afternoon place to shop.

Hand Me Ups is sort of a hidden gem, probably due in part to its location. The items in the store tend to be well curated as opposed to a bunch of non-working junk like you might find in the other stores. Knowing that the money I spend here goes towards programs for adults with special needs is definitely a bonus too.

First off, I got the map updated so it points to their actual location... Which is. Little tricky to get to. It is on the NW corner of 156th & Maple, but you have yo go north a block on 156th and turn left on Spaulding and left into the Bank of Benson. I don't know ho eco endive other items are, but I purchased 3 really nice short sleeved shirts for $10, so don't be turned off by the "$$$" entry.

Staff is always friendly and helpful- and I've shopped there a lot! This is my favorite second hand clothing store! Goodwill is so dingy and picked over, it's hard to find anything quality. It's smaller so a bit hit or miss, but pretty much all my favorite clothing items, the ones people say "adorable! Where did you get that?!" Are from here!

We donated the better items from my mom's home when she passed. She shopped there for years. She always found charming little statues, lamps, dish ware, and clothes. The store is kept clean and tidy. Great business model sharing profits to those who really need help.

This thrift store had so many amazing, cute adorable things everywhere I looked. The clothing is mainly all women's but everything is ADORABLE! They also have a non profit organization next door that plan activities and support disabled adults ! I will definitely come back and check it out again
