This restaurant goes by a few names Gurungbrothers / Druk LCAs but is absolutely excellent. Had the chicken and veggie momos accompanied by the soup. Lots of flavor and homemade dumplings (including the dough which is the perfect consistency). Decor could be spruced up a bit but you come here for the food not the ambiance. Definitely a hole in the wall worth exploring!

Right across the street from Lisa's Radial Cafe is this tiny grocery store with an even tinier (I think there was like 6 tables?) restaurant to the right when you enter. I walked up to the little window covered by a curtain at the front and realized I was supposed to ring the bell there to order.A kind looking man peeked out from behind the curtain, which looked like was the kitchen. I ordered the chicken momo ($7.50), a Nepali dumpling filled with chicken, cabbage, onion, garlic, coriander and ginger. As I was waiting, I looked around and there was one other person sitting there having samosas and what looked like a latte. I confirmed with him that it was the milk tea on the menu and when I mentioned how I was thinking about trying it, he went and got another mug and poured me some of his! It was basically the Nepali version of a Chai latte and was very rich, like they used whole milk.My food came out in less than 10 minutes - there were 12 momos and it came with a dipping sauce and a small bowl of soup. The momos were very similar to Chinese jiaozi in both appearance and taste, but what set it apart was the dipping sauce. It wasn't nearly as spicy as I was expecting after reading some other Yelp reviews about it, and actually reminded me of a peanut sauce. My new acquaintance explained that they toned down the spiciness as most people's palates here aren't used to it, and that it contained sesame which explained the nutty taste. I particularly enjoyed the vegetable curry (?) soup, which was also slightly spicy and had potatoes, chickpeas, beans and cilantro. This made for an extremely cheap, hearty lunch with leftovers for less than $10! After you eat, just ring the bell again to ask for your bill. You can leave your plate on the table and head to the register in the grocery section to pay. The food here as well as the friendly encounter I had today (found out he is actually from Nepal and is a regular patron of this place) left a great first impression. They have a limited menu and you might feel awkward trying to figure out how to order, but don't be afraid to give this place a try!

This place is must visit for momo (dumpling) lovers. The meat filling inside momo is flavorful spicy and the homemade dip sauce is amazingly tasty and a hot soup.Price is reasonable ( $8) with generous portion size (12pc). The place is just opposite to Lisa's radial caffe , in a small grocery shop with caffe style atmosphere. Hosts are welcoming. Takes little long around 15-20 mins to prepare the food, so it's a better idea to pre-order before you reach. This is our favorite snack place in Omaha. Tried other things too but best is MOMO

Chicken momo: juicy and good, but the achar is unusual if you're used to traditional momo achar. It threw off the taste of the momo for me and I instead ate the green sriracha on the table. Next time, I'll make my own achar and take momo to go.Chatpate: spicy and good. Hit the spot!Friendly and fast service. Not much ambience to speak of but it's in a grocery store so..The grocery store itself is nicely stocked and the owner is friendly and helpful.

This hole-in-the-wall restaurant was closed for the longest time. However, they have reopened recently and boy, I'm glad! If you're looking for some authentic Indian/Nepali street food, come here. I love their momos (the Indian/Nepali version of dumplings). It's a very popular street food back home in India and this place comes really close to recreating that exact same taste from home. They also have other items like chowmein (noodles), Puri Bhaji (unleavened fried bread with a side curry). I can vouch for the authenticity of their food. Don't go in expecting anything fancy, but simple, tasty, filling food that's also really really cheap. The only thing that gets me every time is that they run out of food very soon and often close down much before the actual closing time. So, it's a very good idea to call before you make that trip.

Went here with come colleagues last week. Went here on a weekday for lunch. It wasn't crowded, but you'll miss it if you're not looking for it. And it has a little private lot with a few spaces, which is nice. Good stuff! So, I didn't really know what Nepalese food was really, but I went anyway. The food served reminds me a bit of a cross between Indian food (the spices) and Burmese food and something else. First, the place is super simple--it's a restaurant in a grocery store. So, don't go in expecting a lot of pretense. Simple plastic cups and tableclothes, and only couple of laminating menus with typos. But., all of that adds to the character, right? It seemed clean, so I didn't feel like I was putting myself in danger there, the way some family-owned joints make me feel. The portion sizes, for the price, are pretty good. We ordered two orders of garlic naan and they fed four people, no problem. Two of the people at the table had the dumpling-looking thing with chicken inside. It came with a bowl of some kind of soup with beans in it. I sampled the chicken dumpling thing and it was pretty good. There were like eight on the plate, good size portion. I am not always a dumpling person, but I'd have these again, but perhaps with the curry sauce below. I had the vegetarian curry-esque dish, and one of the others had the chicken version. Pretty good. Not overly spicy, but good mix of curry and potatoes and other things (fans of Indian food--seems like a cross of channa masala and aloo choley?). That came with the same soup, plus another lentil soup, plus a pickled mango. Really good. I'd try this again. Wait staff was nice. Our food came out quickly--we were the only ones in there for about 20 minutes, before a few folks came in. Towards the end of the meal, they were offering us more curry and drinks. Don't be shy folks, give it a try! Also note, they only do credit cards/debit cards for orders over ten bucks. Otherwise, it's cash.

Serendipity - the faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident. After walking into the breakfast joint across the street (Lisa's Radial Cafe) and discovering a 20 minute wait on a Sunday morning, I was walking back to my car when I discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant tucked into a Nepalese/Bhutanese grocery store. I was amazed to discover that the kitchen was open at 9:20 a.m. and was serving the full menu! Now, I must preface this review by stating that I LOVE authentic ethnic cuisines from the bubbling Kom Tang soup joints of K-town in NYC to the fiery Thai beef salad at Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas. Unerringly, my touchstone of excellence is a quick eyeball of the patrons. If first generation community members are patronizing the restaurant, it passes the authenticity test. Druk LCA (a reference to the thunder dragon of Bhutanese mythology) passed this test in spades with a steady stream of Nepalese clients buying groceries and stopping by for a quick bite and conversing with the staff in their native dialect. As my first foray into Nepalese/Bhutanese cuisine, here were the hits: 1. Momo (dumpling) - these were plump, succulent steamed dumplings filled with a chicken and cabbage filling that were light on the tongue. When dipped into the Momo hot sauce (a fiery version of Sriracha) they were a delight! They were supposed to come with a vegetable broth but it was not ready on Sunday morning. 2. Poori (fried Indian bread) - not quite as pillowy soft and puffy as I have had elsewhere, yet these flaky oily breads were scrumptious and quickly devoured by children and adults alike. They were especially divine when dipped into this potato curry soup that was served with the samosas 3. Curry soup - not an individual entrée, but a side dish with the samosas - this was the most flavorful dish of the entire meal! Here were the misses: 1. Samosas - underseasoned and a bit cold and soggy - not very inspiring 2. Chicken Chaumin - a noodle dish served in a curry sauce with bits of what appeared to be tandoori chicken - it was "ok" but nothing amazing. Drinks - they did not have any mango lassi, so we did not really try the drinks. Service - our waitress was friendly, quick, and helpful in explaining the dishes. We felt like we were in the family home and were made to feel welcome. Cost - very affordable. No dish cost more than $7 as prior reviewers have noted, and the portions were very generous. Overall, I thought the meal was a surprising delight and a warm and friendly introduction to Bhutanese/Nepalese cuisine. We will be back, and we hope that you give this place a try!

Great food, very affordable and very filling! The chicken momo is juicy and delicious. I always order sugar cane juice for drink. It's like $1 but tastes so good!!!

It would be unfortunate if Yelp's current "$$$$" rating deterred new business. Nothing on the menu is more than $7.00, and that item is a tremendous heaping pile of delicious, seasoned noodles with chunks of vegetable and chicken. A pair of samosas come with soup for $3.50, but they, too, are huge, and with the soup would constitute a meal portion in any country outside North America. The food portion of the menu is small, we tried most of what's on it, and most of what's on it tastes very good. The portion-to-price ratio is very high. Just don't go there for the ambiance - it is simply a small room with two tables on one side of the grocery store. But, service was prompt and friendly.

This is an adorable Tibetan grocer. I assume this is what grocers in Tibet and Nepal must look like. It's rural, small, and has a tiny blue eatery that makes you feel like you eating on top of the world. I would like to see a weekly special such as curried goat and lentil soup as an example. This way customers can sample other traditional dishes not on the menu. They make a great cup of tea !! You can find many items that you might not think they would carry. I really love this place and the people that work there are extremely nice. Give it a try. It's quaint and adorable :) And there is another store they have that I went to last week on the Northwest side of 90th. off of Maple Street. I'll be frequenting as well.
