I've bought things there, I've sold things there, and I've sought advice there. Always top notch. Best place in Omaha for guitars.

What a great shop! He specializes in vintage Fender amplifiers and he's got an incredible collection, but there are lots of other brands and a few new pieces including a really cool cigar box guitar. Prices are extremely reasonable IMO. The owner also does repair and tuning right in shop.

I have to give them five stars for simply husband sitting since if anyone knows Leon D. on here they know that's 5 star worthy. No but seriously these guys are always warm, welcoming, friendly and lets him sit at the cool kids lunch table at times and I'm sure they are like that with anyone who walks through their doors. They aren't pushy at all and almost welcome you to their shop as if it's your home to just kick back and relax and check out their stuff. They are full of experience and knowledge and really want what's best for your preference. They have this amazing rehearsal space in the back and couches to chill at if you're just waiting for your partner to stop talking shop.

Long live your local guitar shop. Ground Floor is a great spot to stop by and talk shop with the staff, who are super knowledgable about all things guitar and music in general. You can tell they really love their jobs (you kinda get the opposite vibe from employees at Guitar Center). As for the goods, there's an ever-rotating selection of new and used gear--guitars, basses, amps, pedals, strings, and a few other miscellaneous instruments and items. Have a sweet vintage amp that needs a new home? They even offer consignment.Ground Floor is also a fantastic spot to bring in your guitars for professional setups and repairs.

This smaller (comparative in size only) shop had the same amount of left handed guitars as either of the Guitar Centers I have been to.I like the way Bill thinks. When I mentioned that all 3 places I have been only had two lefties, Bill quickly pointed out that Ground Floor has a better ratio (math is fun kids!) We talked for a bit about left handedness and I looked at the guitar lined walls. I messed around with a red electric righty for awhile before buying a set of strings. Bill went over the differences between two similarly priced products and let me make my decision. Great place! Great staff!

Fantastic little shop. Loads of really unique guitars and sometimes rare guitars and bass'. They also do really fine repair work and new equipment setup. Took in a mandolin that I bought online to get the action set, truss rod tweaked, etc. Had it done within the day! Really reasonable price. It's nice to have a place in town where they are really passionate about the instruments themselves. Not like some of the other larger chain shops in town where they always seem as if they couldn't be bothered. Will definitely be using this shop solely for any guitar, bass, or amp needs. They also do a killer consignment program if you want to sell gear! Leave it with the shop and they place it in the inventory until it sells and send you a check! Great idea! Hope these folks stick around!

Ground Floor Guitar have been an amazing shop and I can't say enough good things about them. They have been extremely helpful for a beginner such as myself and have answered all my questions. They are not pushy, have good prices and are genuinely awesome people. They have a good selection of new and used guitars and accessories, pretty much everything you could need. They are super welcoming and their store is clean and relaxed. Josh and John seem to know everything about guitars between them and I haven't been to a better shop.

I love this shop! The staff is always warm and welcoming, the selection is different from your run-of-the-mill music store and the location is the bees knees! Great place to chill and check out gear, then go down the street for a slice of pizza or some ice cream. Their repair tech is phenomenal as well! If you're an enthusiast of music CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!

This is the only place I trust my guitars to. I have been going to Johnny for over ten years now and I have not once had an issue. My guitars always come back super clean and sounding and playing better than I hoped. Great fellas, new location is awesome with a guitar/pedal testing headphone station. Great service, amazing team, very fair pricing for the quality of work received back. Very honest as well and will be upfront with you about YOUR best options, not theirs. Highly recommend for any of your guitar needs.

Ground Floor Guitar holds a special place in my heart. I bought my first guitar, amp, and pedal at the shop. The owner and all of the staff were more than helpful, walking me through the basics and even offering their time to teach me further. All staff at the store are most definitely salt of the earth; talking shop and cracking jokes during every visit. I have been playing guitar for 2 years now and I never plan on going anywhere else for my guitar needs. The shop is a bit of a hike from where I live, but it is absolutely worth the drive every single time. The store has LOADS of completely unique and even locally built gear. There's always something new every time I stop by, and I'm always welcomed by a warm face and a kind greeting. The store's owner even personally delivered gear to customer's houses during the COVID-19 pandemic! If you are looking to buy anything guitar related or are even THINKING about starting to play the guitar/bass, I strongly recommend stopping by the shop. I could not recommend a single better guitar store and I hope that you get to experience the amazing atmosphere and genuine kindness that the shop offers.
