This has been the second year in a row that I have come to this place with a big group of 10 for my prom! They let us have the private room in the back and gave us a speaker to play music. The room was also decorated with lights and it was perfect! It made dinner really fun! Our waiter was super nice and attentive, even though our orders were a little all over the place. The food was super good (pictures included) and we had a lot of fun with the sake bombs. This is one of the best sushi spots in Lincoln for sure. We'll definitely be back!

Who woulda thunk it?! An exceptional sushi restaurant in middle of farm country. Lincoln Nebraska is the last place I would expect to find an authentic sushi menu. Grey whale is even better than advertised. The grey whale roll is a wonderful creation. Shrimp tempura, mango, avocado, tuna, tobiko, and whatever that sauce is.....it's sweet, savory, and hits all the satisfying textures at the same time. As good as that is, it is not to be outdone by the vegetable dumplings. Soft, tender, chewy dough goodness. To be perfectly honest, it didn't matter what filling was in these dumplings. Easily the best dumpling dough execution I've ever had. Not exactly what I was thinking I'd find in Lincoln Nebraska. What ever happen land locked states not having the freshest or best seafood? Grey whale defies all convention, and I'm here for it!

To be honest... I think this is one of the worst sushi's I've ever eaten & I only got vegetable rolls. The avocado and mango in the rolls weren't even ripe yet so they were hard and not good to eat. I got my meal to-go. It was easy to order and delivery went well. Probably won't eat here again. Was disappointed with the food.

Lunch prices are very reasonable. 3 generously sized rolls are $15 - large and filling. If you check in via Yelp, you'll get a side of free edamame. Service can be slow as there's only one person doing double duty as host and server. There was a small wait before food arrived so the free edamame was appreciated.

We had a reservation well in advance as it was a celebration night. We arrived and it was as if we didn't have a reservation, as other walk-up guests were seated before us. The ambiance was not engaging. The table was broken, and the placement was inconvenient - in the busiest part of the restaurant. I had one of the signature drinks, that was just a pre-made mix with some rum. The food was ok... But I could have a better experience in Hy-vee.This was not the first time we had dinner in this location, but it was significantly different to our other experiences there.

I was in Lincoln for a work trip and was staying nearby. I felt fairly neutral about this experience after everything was said and done. The udon was good, but light in the flavor department. The avocado roll was also good, but a bit warm for some reason.The location was hard to find, the atmosphere was uninspiring, and there were multiple large groups doing loud sake bombs throughout the restaurant. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3 because they can't control their patrons (fratty / sratty), and they seemed under-staffed.

check in to get free crab rangoons!I only stopped by because I saw there was happy hour sushi, so for the happy hour price it was fine. I would not come here full price. I got a philly roll and it honestly did not have much flavor. Rice was also just okay too. Honestly, crab rangoons were a little stale as well. But I also came near closing so I can't blame them for frying ahead of time. good for a cheap eat, I was filled up for $8 including a 22% tip! I might be back for happy hour, but not for full price.

Sushi was SO good!! I'm no connoisseur but after this sushi I may be! Spicy tuna roll was actually spicy, which I appreciate. Edamame wasn't soggy and had the perfect amount of salt. Service very good, happy hour well priced! Relaxing ambiance after a long day of work. Generous pours of wine as well
