Greg's Restaurant

Good classic burger and fries, this place takes you back a little when it wasn't just all fast food burger chains, everything fresh and made to order, good service and consistent quality. Worth a stop if your in the area.

Food is very good & the place is the cleanest in Lincoln. Staff is nice but pretty shy

I had high hopes for Greg's Restaurant. I love mom and pop type places, they usually have the best of everything (food, people and history) but I didn't find that at Greg's.We visited late in the afternoon so I wasn't surprised to not see many cars. It looks like it's been updated or just well maintained and when we walked inside we were pleasantly surprised. There are airplanes hanging all around and a great big retro sign welcomes you (well I'm sure it would be welcoming if it was turned out but for some reason it wasn't. After my meal there I'm guessing it was to cut costs.)The menu is simple bar food. My sister and I each got the bacon cheeseburger special, $5.99 for burger and fries. Drink was extra. Since there weren't many people we had our choice of seating, so we found a spot right by the really cute Husker kids tables (perfect for my one year old niece). While we waited for food, we talked about how hot and stuff it was and how dirty the carpeting looked. The decorations, however, well done. One of the women behind the counter (I assume one of the owners) brought our food on a plastic tray. She was very friendly. The presentation was clean and retro. She brings with your meal one side of ketchup. Anything else costs extra. Even a refill, $.25. Lettuce, $.40. Neither of us were impressed with our burgers. The buns were nice. Very pretty. The buns tasted like the freezer patties you can get at WalMart. The fries, nothing fancy. My sister also ordered milk for my niece. It was $1.50 for a small glass and it was frozen. Again, I'm guessing this is another cost saving measure but my niece refused to drink it. We don't typically give her frozen, chunky milk. All in all it was pretty expensive for what you get. The food wasn't outstanding. The service was great, but with the wealth of food options in the city, that's not enough. I also wish there was more of an explanation behind the story of Greg's. Who is Greg. What's with the planes? How long have you been around? Maybe that would have made me feel more connected. The entire time I just kept thinking I have no idea why I've heard such good things about this place. I won't be back. Also, this is cash/check only.

After driving past for a few years and reading the Yelp reviews. I decided to stop in for lunch. Ordered a double burger, fries and a RC cola. Burger was great. Surprised me to see RC on the menu. It was a nice changeAlthough it was surprising to see that a slice of tomato is 50 cents.

The food is great, the service is nice, and now they except payment beyond just cash!They take Visa MasterCard Samsung Pay Apple Pay etc. The cash only factor was one reason I did not go here as often as I would've liked to.Now they accept multiple forms of payment, their business both inside and at the drive-through will probably increase!

Still one of our favorite places and now they take plastic! Give themselves chance and you won't be sorry-we ate there tonight!

The food is always amazing delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable and patients. The always bringing the food out to you and always hot and fresh.They have excellent shakes. One of my favorite places to eat in Lincoln.

Delicious burgers and fries cooked to order. The owners are very friendly. Prices are a bit steep ($10.49 special for a cheeseburger and fries, no drink).

One million stars if I could. Throughout pregnancy I would come here for my craving of fries and a shake. Everything here is homemade and delicious. The people running the place are amazing, and professional. It's a great diner to bring your family!

Been wanting to try for quite some time. Very friendly staff, a little pricey $20.74 for a medium drink (kinda small actually) a double cheese burger, fries, and I had to try the jalapeño stuffers! Fries were good. The burger was good but I thought it was supposed to have lettuce? Otherwise it was a great size. I was disappointed in the jalapeño stuffers they seemed frozen or old. Not a lot of flavor to them. I'll probably be back to try some more stuff. Maybe right after payday
