This was a fun event. I loved all the different breweries from all over. I would have liked a little bit more cider there. I just started liking craft beer when I moved here, so I went to the only cider stand and drank a lot of their product! I liked the booklet of all the breweries and sponsors, and the little tourist phamplet of things to do in that area. Overall, it was a nice event.

The 2015 Great Nebraska Beerfest might have just been my favorite local suds festival to date. Not only did I finally get to check out Werner Park (great minor league baseball stadium), I was able to reconnect with some old friends, say hi to some new family and just have an all around enjoyable day sampling beers from across the country. My favorite area was the tent that housed breweries from Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. It was great to talk to reps from nearby cities and plan my next weekend trip around stopping by their venues. Also, and I'm not sure if this is just the current trend, but Great Nebraska Beerfest saw more than it's fair share of sour beers -- something that'd been difficult to find at other local festivals. From Boulevard to Lucky Bucket to C.I.B. and many, many more, sours were in full effect at GNB. Big props for Nebraska Brewing Company for putting on such a top notch festival. Can't wait till next year!

Wow, what a fantastic event! I've been to a couple of beer fests in the past but nothing compares to this one. Consider it the ultimate experience in the brew gala realm.I scored some VIP passes and was able to get in when there was not many people there yet (Thanks for the passes, Will S!). I arrived there (with Tracey K) about 12:45 pm and was handed a commemorative stainless steel tasting glass. Then it was time commence with the tasting! There was a solid variety of microbreweries there; both local (i.e. Scriptown, Infusion) and not so local (Belles, Deschutes, Destihl, Black Tooth, etc). Many of the actual master brewers were at the booths filling up the tasting glasses whilst telling you about the style and ingredients. Not only a lot of beer flowing here but also a lot of pride in said beers!I will definitely be back in 2018!!

Way better than expected! So many vendors on hand with tons of brews. Half way through and I can feel the love. People from all over. We met folks from Spearfish, SD and points all over. It was pretty cool getting the backstory behind some of these brews and meeting the brewers face to face. I like that we could bring our daughter. So many other festivals blow off the kids. $40 seemed steep but a worthwhile trip to the bar would cost way more. Cool hanging with new peeps.

5 Stars across the board!! I purchased out tickets kind of late so I missed being one of the 300 VIPs this time as they were sold out. I thought that would be ok due to the venue and boy was I right!More than 80 vendors made a showing. from Home brew clubs and associations to national swill brands, sans AB/InBev et al...When we arrived and parked for free we quickly got through security and it was clear many folks were already having a great time, Right to GWAR beer from Cigar City from Tampa,FL. Delicious. 7 kinds of hops and a great Pale to ruin my palate and start the adventure. With so many choices I did what any seasoned Beer Fester does and wen to the shortest lines that was from something I have not had or had not had in a while. August Schell's Sour was just about perfect right out of the gate. So was the Lemon-Lime Ale from Schilling Bridge (which I deplore because of 'Git-R-Done'). tastes can change, I can adapt. It was hot. the line for the misting fans was about as long as the lines for the good stuff. Did I mention it was hot? There was a smoking section along First base line and even though I vape now, I had to go there to puff. Man it was stinky. There were a few companies that I found the need to skip. They would be like Borgata's, Lucky Bucket, Sam Adams, Even Upstream. I have had those and only had so much room in my belly for a certain amount of brew.I filled that with many Saisons (seemed to be the most prevalent style), Jalepeno beer that beats Jaipur, Beet Sours, and Apricot Wheats. Some of my favorite flavors were a Hibiscus Saison and some really great brews from the homebrew clubs.Lincoln Lagers, 402 Railroaders, S. Omaha Brewers, Lawerence,KS Brewers Union all had great offerings under the tent.It was also really cool to run into a few Yelpers along the day and way. Dan K, Natasha, and friends who traveled from as far away as KC. It was great to meet you all and we will have to hook up next time!Next round is on me. Cheers!

This is the premiere Beer Fest in the area. Werner Park is a fantastic place to have it --lots of room, open concourses, and some shade. Great selection of brews and merchandise. This gets better every year! I can't wait to see what next year is like.

I have been to all the major Beerfests that Omaha has to offer and I can safely say this is the best one. Not only do they have a large number of diverse breweries, they have the perfect venue. They have food available which I did not try as I made sure to eat before I came. I also came prepared with my pretzel necklace which was the envy of many people as I walked through the crowd. I checked out the list of breweries before I came so I could make sure and get to certain ones that I had never tried before. I liked that they had them grouped together also. There were three that were from Arizona and a couple from Sioux Falls that I wanted to try also. I was happy to try some seasonal brews from favorite breweries as well. My favorites were Lazy Horse, Miner, and 23rd St. I will definitely be back to this Fest. The shade provided by the concourse, and having actual bathrooms are reason enough. In addition to this, there were lots of people there but it never felt crowded and the lines were not long at all. I also loved seeing all my craft beer friends! Cheers!!
