Great Harvest Bread

There's no bread like Great Harvest bread. It has a unique slightly sweet flavor and density that I love. I've been coming to this original location since the one out west closed (a total bummer btw). It smells incredible inside and looks like your well-loved neighborhood bread shop. My favorite bread is the country white round, but they have many more creative flavors, both savory and sweet, that are tasty.

The low carb always makes me happy. Best I've had by far! Have tried them all. Favorite is the cinnamon burst low carb!

We always love stopping by here when we arrive early for our toddler's music or art class. The staff are always so kind and offer our toddler a free slice of bread with generous butter when we buy a loaf. My toddler loves to sit down and will finish the whole slice (the cinnamon bread is his favorite). They have great cookies and whole grain bread too!

The honey wheat bread has really changed within the last few months. It's still better than grocery store bread, but the recipe appears to have changed or isn't made the old way because it's quite dry now, sometimes dry the day of purchase. It tastes like it's been frozen, it isn't fresh tasting anymore.The new owner has discontinued the free loaf of bread to loyal customers program, when they return 12 bread labels. You must sign up for their loyalty program now, and give them your personal information. In fact, the owner no longer provides labels with the loafs at all.

I came in with my 3 year old son. We got mini cinnamon rolls and a slice of cinnamon chip bread with butter and a drip coffee (options were decaf, French roast, donut shop, and hazelnut). We paid less than 10 dollars. Everything was amazing! The service was great. It was our first time and they gave good recommendations and were very accommodating. While I was ordering, I heard another employee coordinating with a customer to pick up a certain product from the other location. There were fun decorations and the vibe was very fun and comfortable. And my favorite things... TABLES!!! It was very comfortable to grab our pastries and walk over to the tables to sit down to eat which is so rare in bakeries. After we ate, we sat and hung out for a little bit and it was still perfectly comfortable. They also have items for sale like fruit spreads, soup mixes, raw honey, cookie kits, and packaged sliced bread. I highly recommend!

I've been going to Great Harvest Bread in Rockbrook Village since they opened more than 25 years ago. At first it was a walk-in bakery selling delicious breads of many kinds plus cookies and pastries. Eventually they added a little cafe with sandwiches on their own great bread, salads, and grain bowls. We finally got around to eating in the cafe and the sandwiches were really good. I had a veggie sandwich on whole wheat bread. It was packed with hummus, provolone, red peppers, onion, and tomato. Perfect. Bookguy had the special of the month--the Dennis Dagwood. It was heavy on the meat--turkey, ham, bacon, plus cheddar and Swiss cheese with some condiments. He thought it was great. He was not impressed with his side salad as it didn't have enough dressing. As always I also bought a loaf of honey whole wheat bread, which is one of my favorites. Call ahead and the cafe will have your sandwich waiting for you!

Great location. I found myself needing a quick, light dinner and was please to see I could get sandwiches here. Grabbed some cookies and a loaf of their Mexican Chocolate bread to try. All were delicious.

After a recent visit to Great Harvest in Rockbrook, I felt the need to update my review even though it remains 5 stars. Every March before St. Patrick's Day they offer Irish Soda Bread and Reuben Stuffed Rye - both fantastic!! The latter can be served with their homemade 1000 Island Dressing and is a meal in of itself. It's a treat I look forward to every year. Actually, they have many seasonal bready offerings. Right now for the spring and Easter season, they have pastel rolls, hot cross buns, wheat potato rolls and bread bunnies in white, wheat or cinnamon chip. A seasonal "Bread of the Month" is baked and available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Cranberry Orange is the flavor for April. The staff at this location are exceptionally nice, patient and helpful. They always make sure you walk away with your choice of free sample as well. This shop is a delight to visit.

I stopped in, and an item was inadvertently left out of my bag. I asked if I could stop by this weekend to get it, and Mary the Manager actually offered to bring it out to my house! Of course I declined, but wanted to share the excellent customer service that Mary provided! I will definitely be back, and hope that everyone who is in the area can stop out for a snack. They have about anything you would want! Cinnamon rolls, soups, sandwiches, and of course, any type of bread you could desire! Way to GO!
