The baked goods were absolutely out of this world. Service was also on point and friendly. I would definitely recommend and be back whenever I'm in the area.

Really great small business! I love this bakery and all the thoughtful desserts they make! I love their Scones and brownies. I have recently just found this place and it is one of or maybe the best bakeries in Lincoln, that I have found!

This was my first visit to Gratitude Cafe! I enjoyed a savory cobbler and a generous slice of delicious lemon birthday cake. The frosting was fabulous! I was also served the very best Arnold Palmer that I've ever had. Local musicians were playing folk music while I browsed through the collection of fair trade items for sale. I have enjoyed various baked goods and homemade granola from this café in different places around the community. I was really glad to find them open and to be able to patronize them this evening. I will definitely be back for more delicious homemade goods and to listen to local music!

I haven't met a pastry, cake or pie from the Gratitude Cafe that I didn't truly love. Selection ranges from scones and the ever-popular Breakfast Cookie to brownies, coffee cakes, cookies, pies, and very special treats for the evening customers, including wonderful entrees and die-for desserts. The beverages include Mexican and American sodas, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and local beer and wines. In addition, there is a selection of international clothing and nick-knacks, make-it-at-home food packs from the Women's Bean Project, as well as chips, honey, etc. etc. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is local music presented by some of Lincoln's finest musicians including Laurie McClain, Dr. John Walker, C. A. Waller, Chris Sayre, and others. Although there is no door charge, a purchase is required to attend so that the venue may continue to host fine artists. On the fourth Saturday of the month, a Writer's Night features excellent local writers in a performance format.Advertised as a "homespun" bakery, the Gratitude Cafe & Bakery makes its customers feel at home, caters to vegetarian tastes, and offers everyone "free hugs." A virtual unknown, this little cafe & bakery was voted among the top five bakeries in Lincoln and is a great local favorite.

Our sweet tooth called and we answered. It took us to Gratitude Cafe Bakery. There was parking on the street so getting in was a breeze. Wonderful smells hit your nose when you open the door and the case is full of great choices. After making pros (so many of these) and cons (we couldn't try it all), I went with a brownie and my partner-in-sweets went with a peach blueberry Buddha bar. The options ranged all over the board and the scones looked wonderful. Upon getting home with our treats (as we went at closing time), they were absolutely wonderful. Not dry like some bakeries in town. Good flavor, great consistency. Both desserts were a hit with us! I'd like to try some of the other awesome desserts and have a scone while I get some reading in.

Unbelievably delicious! That's the only way I can describe the pecan sticky bun I had. The cinnamon roll my daughter had was also unbelievably delicious warm and gooey with caramel frosting. You have to try it warm. And the brownie my other daughter had was delicious. So I've been on this quest to find great bakeries/donuts whenever I travel. This place is in a nice location and has plenty of seating. Mostly benches though. When we arrived there were only two patrons so there was plenty of space. I was surprised to see beer in the cooler. It's not the first time I've seen beer at a bakery. Seriously I had the cinnamon rolls at le quartier but not recently. I now feel compelled to have one of theirs and a sticky bun from staffers just to see which is best. I will definitely be back. One criticism is that I didn't see prices anywhere. I wasn't sure what to expect when everything was wrung up. $18.30 for 2 rolls 1 sticky bun a scone and a huge brownie. Not a steal but not unreasonable especially considering the taste. Everyone in Lincoln should try this place at least once. I wish they were in Chicago!

I LOVE this place! It's a small local business, their SCONES ARE TO DIE FOR. It has many vegan options and the vibe is great! It's a good place to study. It does not have WiFi though.
