Grata Bar & Lounge

Always a good spot for a drink or some decent bar food, good service everyone's always friendly. It does get a little busy at times but always able to find a spot.

Preface by saying I go in here all the time. The 3 stars is based on today only. Burgers are legit but the $3 upgrade for fries doesn't make it a special.

A terrible business. We held a birthday party here for a friend. We were supposed to get a contract for the event but they kept forgetting to have it ready for us. Even when we showed up for the party they had not prepared one. I now believe that was an intentional tactic on their part but who can say. When we went to place the food order we could not get a quote on the prices of their catered food. (What kind of business doesn't know their prices to quote you in advance) So We opted for what we guessed would be the cheapest options and let people be responsible for personal orders if they wanted a more formal meal. We ordered 1 veggie tray, 1 hummus tray, 1 fruit tray, and chips and salsa. At the end of the night the food bill was over $700!! They wouldn't itemize it, just said that was the cost of the trays. You owe us over $700. Think about how that breaks down, A $175.00 veggie tray?!? $175.00 for chips and salsa?!?! For hummus or fruit?!?! We talked to the owner and she claims that because of inflation that is the standard cost of a veggie tray now!?! And just to clarify, these were standard trays available at any grocery store for about 20 bucks. These were not some fancy over the top or oversized trays. They didn't provide a receipt for our down payment and we were told that we should have asked in advance if we wanted an itemized receipt. What a colossal rip off. The bartender was friendly and made good cocktails but that was the only bright spot on the evening. The owner was incredibly unprofessional and difficult to deal with.Update: we have now spent a week trying to deal with the owners of this place. They have continued to be extremely rude, they have lied about things, and were even laughing at us when we tried to complain. Absolutely the least professional people I have dealt with in my adult life. Incredibly rude incredibly abrasive and clearly gives zero value to customer experience. Shockingly bad business.

The drinks and service was great but we had an issue with sports on the tv. A person in our party had called ahead of time to confirm that the Women's Husker Volleyball would be playing. Once we were seated with appetizers and drinks we were informed that the bar would not be steaming the game. It is insane that a bar in Lincoln, NE would not be playing a post season Husker Volleyball game. Fans literally go to bars to watch sports that are only available on select streaming services. You're telling me that this bar couldn't cough up $11.99 for ESPN+? I guess it doesn't matter because Big Bang Theory was playing on two separate tvs so that makes up for it. Left the bar and found another one that was playing the game.

Waiter was very poor, forgetful, slow, and all around bad. We had a table of 9 and 2/3rds had food and the waiter asked if we were missing anything. Yeah, three meals. Would not recommend this place if you want to eat. Drinks were okay.

Good food, cold drinks, skill games!! Great service! Highly recommend!! All around great place!

Went in on Sunday evening, there was only one bartender working, we sat there for 5 minutes before she even acknowledged us & that was only to tell us that she was by herself. Waited another 5 minutes & she couldn't find time to get our drink order. We ended up walking out to go to a different bar.

As of Thursday, 8/10/20223 at 9:30pm.Keno Service = Shut down.Kitchen = Closed.All on a Karoke Thursday Night.

Great place for Sunday brunch and dinner on Sunday. Excellent service and a cool atmosphere. The Cajun shrimp salad is fantastic-the shrimp & bacon are beautifully cooked and warm and yet the avacado, al dente green bean sticks, and lettuce are crisp & cool. Donuts served at brunch are homemade & amazing.
