Genesis Westroads is considered a premier club, so if you sign up at any other club, to use it you have to pay another $5 every time you go! Even though I was always a member at Westroads, I left for a bit, and came back, but didn't realize it was through Sprague. Their front desk teen got very flustered when I scanned in, she then got a manager and they mumbled back and forth like I wasn't standing right there. They were really rude about me using the club. I've canceled, since I don't need to use more than one location, and I won't be going back for the 35 or so days left--why would I go to Sprague when I'm 2 minutes from Westroads? Instead of working out the mistake with me, they chose to be rude. My friend was also treated rudely at Cass St. He was told he couldn't be there and when he asked for a towel for the pool, was directed to a rack to tiny hand towels. Here's the thing--if you want to work out, there is literally no benefit to Westroads and certainly no benefit to paying an extra $5 a visit! Even if you're a "gold member" shouldn't they try to get you to upgrade instead of treating you like an invader? So, off to Blue Moon I go, where they don't charge you an arm and a leg--and as someone who does HIIT and weights--why deal with the lack of parking at Genesis--it's mostly tennis users anyway. I'm just sorry I stuck with Genesis for years through the renovations--which took about 3 years, only to be treated like crap later. So my recommendation is--100% not worth the money or dealing with the attitudes their "staff" have. BTW, I've seen what looked like vomit on the wall at Westroads for over two weeks before. The place is filthy. Oh, and your ONE working assault bike has half a pedal on one side.

I've started using this location since my Genesis is under going a remodel. I was intrigued since I heard this club was remodeled not so long ago and this club apparently costs more to use. I was very disappointed. They must have used some very poor quality materials and workers on the remodel. The equipment is quite dated and in poor shape as well. Overall this place is a bit clunky, messy, dated, and overall I really have no clue what I'd be paying more for here? I guess indoor tennis? Rusty equipment, torn equipment, broke equipment, turf area has holes and tears. No separation from the basketball court so balls constantly coming into the work out area. Overall this place really is a joke. Very tiny pool. Aloof staff. Thank goodness there is a lot of competition in this city for gyms and a new one just opened up not too far from me.

It's funny how most if not all the 1-2 star reviews are because this gym wants to charge you a $5 "drop in fee" 95% of the staff I've encountered never said boo about the charge.Your gym is not that elite that the extra charge be warranted. Today is the 2nd day in a row your steam room has been out of service. The pool ropes have been held down by a free weight for a month or more and the trim around the deck has been coming off. Does this sound elite? I have worked in luxury brands and would have never treated any of my guests the way you do. Even down to the canned responses your employees write to "apologize" are a far cry from elite.I can't wait for my contract to be up in October because as a whole this company sucks.Overall the Genisis gyms in Omaha are DIRTY AF! Not the same in other cities.

I've been a member at genesis since 2017 and spent most of my membership at the Westroads location. When they closed for the remodel I went back to my home gym at Sprague. I came back to Westroads to try out the new facility. Super sweet some of the staff remember me, which I appreciate. The new and improved facility is great and all the aspects I used like cardio, free weights and turf are all bigger and better but I don't think I'll pay the huge up charge to belong to this location. I think it's odd that if this isn't where you signed up, you aren't grandfathered in (which would have been impossible, as it was still Westroads club.)If you ask any genesis member what their membership rate is, it varies from $20-$75 a month. It would be roughly double the cost for me to be a member here. It's unfortunate because it's such a nice facility, but all the woes I've heard since they reopened were confirmed when I came in to see for myself. If they change their pricing structure I'd love to make this my home gym again.

Update: I emailed Genesis as requested and they have not responded. I have called the office multiple times. Even though they act like they care they absolutely do not. If you join this club you better hope that nothing bad ever happens because they absolutely will not help in any way. The lack of professionalism is appalling. I truly have never interacted with a business with such a lack of integrity. Avoid at all costs.

I'd leave zero stars if I could we were members for a couple years and it wasn't terrible, but wasn't good. It was OK, at best a lot of in the area don't offer daycare so I need it.Unfortunately, the final straw was we picked up my sons and I had asked the teacher all the time how they do because their kids she said fine. Well, last time I picked them up, my son was kicked in the balls, choked and beat up by a bigger kid and when I asked the teacher about it, she said it was a game. WtF um no , choking someone isn't a game, but then later I found out from the gym director it was a kid of a teacher. I recorded the whole conversation because I actually had my nephews with me, as well as my children, and I'm not in contact with their mom so figured I'd just share all the info I had. Anyways it's an ok gym at best but not if you have little kids. Also the gym equipment takes forever to get fixed if at all.

Not a fan of this location. I signed up at a Lincoln location and was told I could visit any Genesis anywhere. Since, I have moved to Omaha and visited the Westroads location. After about 5 visits I was told I had to pay an upcharge of $5 every time I visit. I already pay $80 month and am only a couple months out from my year year long contract ending. I spoke with I suppose someone in membership as no manager was available and there was no customer service or I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Only, someone didn't give you all the details. When I asked to cancel, they said they'd cancel my membership, but this months fees would NOT be refunded. I called the club I joined in Lincoln and the customer service there was #1. They were extremely understanding bumped me up to PREMIERE membership at no extra charge. Needless to say I will not visit nor recommend the Westroads location due to the poor customer service I experienced. They seemed to be more concerned about the $5 then about taking care of a customer. They will definitely get more than $5 worth of "word of mouth" advertising.

I can see now why this location has such a low rating. I went there recently to play tennis and left some gear there, an Adidas Husker sweatshirt and athletic pants. I called them and they said they'd hold them for me. I wasn't able to go in to pick them up until maybe a week and a half later. The pants were there but not the sweatshirt. I was given the manager's phone number, so I left a message but no return call came. That same night that I showed up to play and found out I wasn't on the roster so I went back up to the counter to get my money back and they said that they couldn't give me a refund until I talked to the manager of the courts. I called him and no return call. Although I coach and teach now, I spent 20 years in the business world and this is an example of a very poorly run business. I am not a member of this gym nor will I ever be.

The club itself is great. The problem is the loud music. The music is not only loud, but much of it is screaming musicians. I keep getting danger alerts on my iPhone for high and dangerous decibel levels. My hearing is endangered and I am completely stressed out listening to the terrible music. I try to block it out by by listening to podcasts, etc. through my AirPods. The music is too loud to listen to or hear podcasts through my AirPods. When I emailed the manager, no one responded. If the club would either turn down or off the music I would give the club a great rating.
