Without question an astounding club. One can barely see from one end to the other in the main space. The equipment is state of the art. Although I would advise them to look into acquiring Hammer Strength machines both older and current models, the best out there for most applications although I also like the vintage Nautilus lower back machines. The locker rooms are state of the art. The lockers are almost walk-in closets. The carpet is the perfect loft - almost a hard surface and yet provides comfort. The dry sauna is Japanese level hot and in the locker room. Has extensive seating. And the showers with the wide diameter nozzles are to die for. The whole place is clean as clean can be. Genesis, take your act to major cities in California and NYC. You expose Gold's Gym for the antiquated overpriced and cramped venue which they all are. You'll make a fortune!

The place is OK, not great. The place is massive, an old Circuit City location. I've never seen the place more than 20% full. I've never had to wait for a cardio machine or weight machine. Although on home football games, parking can be a challenge. Seems like this place changes names/owners every couple of years. Been a member for about 3 years. The new company keeps saying, big changes coming... it took 3-4 months for the old sign to come down and another few months for the new sign to come up. Staff has changed, I'd say an 80% turnover. I asked them about getting a personal trainer. They told me of a 6 month weekly special for an outrageous price. I asked them about individual sessions. And when I put a pencil to it, it was the same rate as their special rate. The lockers and saunas are always kept clean, which is a plus. Their biggest downfall is the lack of a pool and their weekend hours, which close a few hours earlier and open a few hours later. Like I said, it's OK, but not spectacular. One of these days, I'll get around to joining another gym.

I wouldnt even waste your time with this place. A biweekly payment of $17.00 = $34.00 a month for all the basics. No towels, and their wifi doesn't even work. Sketchy males who have nothing better to do then stare at you the whole time. Id rather work out at home or outside then pay for this place.

I would give 0 star if I could. Promised refund 80 dollars but never delivered. Drag a refund for more than a whole month and even so they still tell you to wait on line and transfer you to different lines and need to contact supervisor etc and wait for another day. and one of the staff just straight up hung up the phone. I just want to contribute to their notorious reputation and let the time do its work with the notorious effect on this place.

I would rate this 0 star if I could but instead I would like to warn off as many people as possible from signing up at this gym. Sure, they have great facilities that have plenty of equipment and machines, but the minute you want to cancel you are in for the worst possible customer service experience imaginable. So originally when I went to cancel (this was over a year ago) I went to this location and worked with someone there. He told me that by cancelling that day I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $200. Obviously I thought that was insane so I asked how can I do this without the fee. The employee then told me to freeze my account and I did. I froze it for 3 months and then came back in to close it. When I came back in, the same employee helped me and had me sign paperwork with the fee taken off. He told me that I was done and I would not have anything to worry about. But believe it or not, I was not done! In fact they kept charging me for over a year!! (Granted this was my fault for not noticing it but still) During this time where I was still being charged I had received several calls from Genesis. Not one of them telling me that my cancellation could not be processed. (Which I would find out later on) Once I caught on, I came back in to get it cancelled (again). The employee who helped me this time was an assistant manager and told me about the cancellation not being processed due to the fee not being taken out. Reluctantly I paid the monthly dues again and the cancellation fee. I signed paperwork again to cancel and hoped it was finally the end. Today, a month after this, I received another call telling me more bad news. There was yet another fee to be paid! $76 this time, for a month of membership which was not paid earlier on. I accepted this and asked for it to be paid off my existing payment method. Of course, the idiot on the phone told me this was not doable, since they NEED people to come in person to pay for this specific charge. So now I am coming in again for a third time to attempt to cancel. Folks, please do not make the same mistake I did. Choose the YMCA, Anytime, Planet Fitness, or really anywhere else. This place is not worth your time and money these people steal from you.

I started a 1 year membership to this "Health Club" and I'd like to leave a warning for everyone who reads this. DON'T SIGN THE CONTRACT!! There multiple points and fine print agreements that will have you bled dry for hundreds of dollars! I canceled my membership last month. After I found out in order to cancel what I thought (and was told upon sign up) was a year membership. I had to submit a letter ,signed, to a manager at a gym location 30 days before I wanted to actually stop my membership. And than even after that I had to pay a month after the cancelation. No amount of reasoning with the Genesis staff or my Bank would get them to return the money that I badly needed for rent. I have now paid for 4 months of a gym membership that I no longer use or want. Which equals out to a few hundred dollars. Plus the late fee they had the nerve to tack on after they bled my accounts so dry I didn't have the balance to pay them. On another note every gym they had in my area was under some kind of construction. And nothing was set up how it was said to be. If I could give this horrible business no stars I would do it in a heartbeat. They will NEVER get me as a return customer and anyone who thinks they're a good gym just hasn't tried to leave yet!

If you like working out in 80 degree gyms this is the place for you!! The thermostat literally says 79 degrees when it's almost 100 outside. When your members are paying $50 for their memberships they should be able to at least afford AC.

Classes were great. It was nearly impossible to get a straight answer on the cost of anything from management and sales staff. Discovered from overheating a gym conversation that you had to notify them 60 days in advance in writing when you wanted to end membership. Did this in writing to the manager he didn't do the paperwork. It took a complaint to the corporate office to get it stopped and refunded.

It doesn't seem like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger, so I walked in. Define a hole in the wall. I got the regular hamburger wow...no words. A properly cooked classic burger. Crispy bread, a soft slice stuffed with all the basics (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles). There are nearly a million options available between the menu board and the wall full of specials, so it can get a little confusing, but you really can't go wrong. There is not much more to say besides go see for yourself! You will not be disappointed.

Untrustworthy and unprofessional. Make sure to watch your bank statement every month. They'll add additional charges to your account without notifying you. And only until/if you notice, it will take another 3+ months, conversations with 6+ staff/corporate employees, and an unimaginable amount of time and stress to get it rectified. You couldn't pay me to return. NOT WORTH IT.
