Genesis clubs always meet my very low expectations.Today is a classic example of a visit:I hopped on a treadmill, cleaned it and it wouldn't start. Jumped on another treadmill.I went to the restroom and realized after the fact that there was no toilet paper dispenser. Or toilet paper.I went to the sink to wash my hands and it wouldn't turn on, went to another sink.Went to the air dryer to dry my hands and it wouldn't start.Finished at the paper towel dispenser.Everyone that works there is lovely!

Third time going the Genesis Health Club on Cass Street and they had no towels available. And the staff did not even seem to care. Worst club ever. I was told awhile back that there would be a new manager and things would improve. Guess not.Do not recommend.

I just noticed that there is an extra $39.00 charge from Genesis on my checking account this month, in addition to the hefty $54.47 they charged for my monthly fee.I called customer service and they said this is the "Club Enhancement Fee" to "make sure we don't raise our rates" and for "club improvements."Funny, I thought that was why was I was paying a membership fee in the first place. This is after they closed for COVID and didn't give anyone a refund for the time they were closed, which I was willing to overlook until now. Note there have been NO "club improvements."Going in to cancel my three-year+ membership today. This company is just too shady for my tastes.

Do not get a membership here. They think they own your bank account for life . During COVID19 they demanded that you come in to cancel

I'm so glad Genesis came in and is starting to clean up these long time neglected gyms! They still have a lot of work to do but they are at least on the right track. Omaha needed a respectable gym in their city limits! I go to the one on Cass because it's close by and the one on 102nd for a little better atmosphere and more machines. Get to the gym!!!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR GENESIS HEALTH CLUBS. 1. this place sucks. 2. I tried to cancel my membership and it took 3 different locations around Omaha, and over an hour to finally cancel it. Just save yourself the time and energy and sign up for a better club! ALSO if you want to cancel it you still have to pay for the next month! I cancelled December 6, and I pay January still, SO GREAT! Because, yes, after I cancel a gym membership I still want to have to go there to workout. WHY DO YOU THINK I'M CANCELLING.

This place is always dirty. Sinks or showers broken. There are car thefts all the time. Staff is nice though, but this place is terrible because people don't treat it well.

As a member of this club specifically Cass, how can you allow the gym to keep the heat on. Working out here has become a drag and the equipment is falling apart. This is also true for Sprague as well. My wife spent 20 minutes yesterday looking for a bike that would work.We pay $39 twice a year for no maintenance and then $80 a month.

Was a decent facility for a while, but I always had to scavenge for weights and clips. The real problem came with Covid-19. Like many other gyms, cancelling my membership was a whole ordeal. I got the runaround, and they straight up lied to me. This continued for over a year. I bought my home workout equipment due to a pandemic (seriously, does anybody take the term "pandemic" seriously? I have a sick mother and can't risk her life to work out!) and I was told that I had to come inside in-person to cancel. I told them I don't feel like it's safe to do that; they didn't care. Asked to do via fax or virtually in any way...no dice there either. Asked for a manager, seems they weren't around any of the times I called. Here's where the lie comes in - they told me they can't do virtual cancellation documents because I need to sign something saying I waive my discount for being a member since it was 24 hour fitness. When I finally got vaccinated, I went in to cancel. The form was just a survey for why I was leaving! Additionally, the staff were not wearing masks when I went in, even though the mandate remained. Seems it was a good idea for me to avoid the place for risk aversion. And now I find that I have yet another charge on my account, over a month after I cancelled.Gym-goers, beware unless you plan to go to this club for the rest of your life, even during a PANDEMIC!
