Previously Prairie Life this gym was known for its high quality classes and a clean upscale environment. Sadly many of the instructors have left. This location has been in the process of being remodeled for about 2 years. It now has taken on the look of an outdated cruise ship. New bikes for the cycle class are already malfunctioning including the pedals coming off during the class. There is lack of privacy in the shower area of the woman's locker room and corporate response was " it works well in our other locations." The indoor pool has been being repaired for about 1 1/2 years! They are a chain and the gym members are just a number.

I was swindled into a membership from someone who said the club would be done with renovations soon......3 months later and still not close!!! Waste of money!!! I was a member when it was a Prairie Life and will now NEVER be a member again once current expires!! I may even look into legal action to recoop my dues since I've been lied to!

Buyer beware: this gym is owned and operated by people of low moral character.We were long-time Prairie Life Fitness members (8+ years). When The Athletic Club bought them out and lobotomized the gymnasium (pick-up basketball was my primary activity), we canceled and moved over to the JCC. BUT.It turns out that TAC (now owned by Genesis) failed to cancel our billing and continued to charge our card $134.82 a month until the following July when I finally noticed (large family, don't watch the charges close enough because it's depressing how much we spend each month). In total, they took us for $1,213.38.So I called Genesis at the end of July 2020 and after some back-and-forth I finally got them to acknowledge the errant charges and commit to a full refund.Fast forward 6 months (and many phone calls later) and Genesis Health Club STILL owes me $1,213.38!I have been promised up and down that there is an approved refund happening and it is out of the local manager's control, but of course I can't speak to anybody with actual power because that would be too reasonable, wouldn't it?My phone calls are avoided and my emails go unanswered. Completely unacceptable! This is not a trustworthy establishment. Keep that in mind before giving them your hard-earned money.

This place is a mess. It's dirty. The only reason I come here is for the steam room, towel service (which could be better), and decent lifting area upstairs. The ceiling leaks when it rains, the showers are filthy. Everything needs some major TLC.

Place is fantastic!This gym has more than you'll ever need at a price you can afford. Basketball court, cardio, indoor/outdoor pool, café, tons of equipment, free weights, dry and wet sauna, and so much more. Equipment is always well taken care of and never "out of order" for too long. Members and workers both always seem warm and welcoming. I pay around $70 for my fiancé and I both. But I know some companies have deals to make it even cheaper. Price is extremely reasonable for the amount of amenities they have. Free classes but also classes you can pay for. They also have multiple locations in Omaha and surrounding cities/states. With a membership you get access to multiple locations which is great when you travel. Overall 5/5 stars!

I've been trying to cancel my membership since June. When I went in person they pulled me aside and told me I had free credits on my account and that I could use them before my membership expired, I said yes I used 1 of the free training sessions. Then I noticed I was billed for the months of July and August. Called to ask about this and whoever I spoke to kept telling me he would call me back by the end of the day, never did. Reached out 4 times between August-September. Then was told since I accepted the training, my membership was not canceled. I never was told that my membership would stay active or else I wouldn't have accepted them. I also was told they were free credits already on my account? Do not sign up here. Manager was also rude when I spoke to him on the phone regarding this.

I filed a previous review and was told by the manager at 147th and maple that the situation, with continued payments and lies about cancellations, would be addressed. I have had numerous phone calls, with the main club manager, who told me he would have the regional manager call me and its going on a month now and i have yet to hear from the regional Manager Jason!!! everything seems to be a secret. I can't get a last name or phone number from anyone!! I am adding an interesting post that the Better Business Bureau posted over 350 complaints about Genisis and only about 60 have been resolved...here is the post from the BBB. This place is excellent and I highly recommend it. It has a very positive friendly atmosphere with many knowledgeable fitness and movement professionals to learn from. The remodel is starting to look very cool with modern lighting and backlit walls. I love coming here!

I love this gym, After F street closed where I signed up I have been using 132nd & Center location a lot recently. I was excited for all the new renovations as they are making some great improvements. But now I have learned that just like with the 102nd street west roads locations, they are making this a "premier club". So now I won't be able to go to this club I have been using unless I pay about double my current membership fee, or pay a drop in fee every time. It's extremely disappointing that a company that makes this much money off their members is doing this money grab scheme. I will have to travel an extra 15 minutes just to use the next closest club now. Thanks for nothing guys

This GYM has the WORST locker rooms I have ever seen. When I say dirty that is an understatement. The ceiling is covered in BLACK MOLD and it has BLACK MOLD running down the walls of the showers. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT it is NEVER CLEANED....it also has 6 showers that don't work and has been that way for over 6 months. When I say these showers don't work what I mean is they just run scolding hot water and can not be shut off. THIS HAS BEEN THAT WAY FOR MONTHS. Don't bother telling employees because they are all trained to say that they will put in a request for repair......DONT expect a towel either. "oh they are in the dryer will be about 30 mins" we are short of towel because people steal them...WHAT a joke for the 20 years I belong to this gym with the old owners it was not that way. MAYBE THEY COULD BUY MORE CHEAP towels..DONE WITH THIS DIRTY GYM.......
