Recommended by a friend to take my car here, the initial visit went well. Cost 800. To fix oil pressure sensor, oil change and something else I don't remember. I was told I would need to start looking for a new car as my engine would probably end up going out they found metal shavings in the oil which it probably got into the motor. I said well how long do you think I have, he said at least six months definitely by winter.... okay well low and behold, not even two weeks later car dies (out of town) had it towed back to Genes yep the engine blew. so obviously couldn't afford to put 10 grand in for a new engine, so I'd have to figure out what to do with the car. They did charged me for a diagnostic fee which I think is kind of crap because they already knew what was wrong with it. Even once they figured out which the car wouldn't start at all so how do you do a diagnostic on a car? You can't even get started ?! they could've waived that fee but oh heck no, not a chance.. Out to make money, it's a business I get it. But even try talking to these people is a joke, Absolutely no personality from the staff, especially Nicole, WOW she needs to take some of that money they charge and buy a personality! I personally DO NOT recommend this shop for that reason alone, very difficult to work with and they definitely do not care about customers.

Just moved from Houston Texas to Papillion N.E it's great to find a local mechanic you can trust. I will continue to bring all my vehicles here prices are fair and they do honest turn around work. Our family Suburban vacation car was leaking all around and they got us back on the road in time to visit family in Texas Highly Recommend them thank you!!

I am so disappointed. We have been using this shop off and on for yrs. The last time I used them I got my tires changed. 1000.00 other places were charging 800.00. But I trusted them and wanted to go with them. This time around we had my sons car and it was the radiator and you could see the crack. I was told it would be 650.00. I had got another estimate for 398.00. So we picked up the car. We had the oil changed. They charged me to 55.00 to check the radiator when we already knew it needed to be changed! Ugh!! I spoke with Tim I asked why the 55.00 charge. He said all shops charge to check the radiator. Ok... but we knew it was the radiator.. It's ok to be a little more then the next guy but 200+ each time. So I told him I wouldn't be returning! He said OK! Like it's no big deal. I was blown away. Not even two weeks ago. I paid 1000.00 in your shop. I didn't get I'm sorry nothing just OK! No big deal! I'm just saddened because it's a small town shop that handles you like a big town store!

LOVE Gene's Auto! I have been ripped off and gimmicked too many by the classic franchised auto shops, but I love them and their dedication to customer service and to doing things right and honestly.

I was looking to air up my tire and it seems most gas stations are happy to charge you for a mediocre air compressor that will hardly air up your tires. I saw this place while driving to the next gas station and thought I'd stop in to see if they could help. The front staff was very nice and let me use their airline to air up my tire. Asked if I needed anything else, I sure did. One of my tires in the back of my truck aired up just fine but the other had a hole in the side wall. Sadly they didn't have the right size tire, which I was not upset about as the tire size and rating was different then most as it is for the construction industry to haul heavy loads. The gentleman was very nice, giving me some options of who might be able to assist me and find the correct tire. I was so happy leaving there and will for sure be back if I need any of their services offered.

they charged my mom $165 as a diagnostic fee. I had found the exact problem within 10 minutes, before it was even taken to the shop. 165 dollars is absurd! midlands auto does diagnostics for free!

First time coming here as my car randomly went out on me at 9pm. Had my insurance tow my car to Gene's as they were recommended by a few others but because it was after hours i wasn't able to call and make and appointment first. They got me in first thing the next morning, replaced my alternator, belt and battery by the end of the day! They were on the ball and that meant a lot to me as it happened to be my day off for the week. Matt and Nicole were very kind and helpful. Will definitely be going back!

$165 diagnostic fee to basically tell me they couldn't recommend fixing anything to do with the codes on the vehicle, fine I paid that on my personal account. This was a business vehicle so for the oil and brake service I asked for (because I already knew it needed it) I needed to get the business card information. They waited 10 minutes after close (which is incredibly early, most people don't even get off work until 5) and sent me out the door, knowing my phone was at 2% battery and in below freezing temps. I had the payment info 5 minutes later but it was too late. Again, fine, I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is this company stating I can't pick up my vehicle until I pay my balance and then not providing me an opportunity to do so on a Saturday (the next morning) or a Sunday. I can't go 2 days without a vehicle. I just need to pay my balance and pickup my Tahoe. Now I have a 6 hour drive that I most likely won't be able to make this weekend. I'm sure the work itself is great, the customer service is lacking.

Genes Auto & truck are the best. I took my F-150 in for a spark plug that I had broken while trying to replace them. The Mechanic(Tim) was able to extract the broken spark plug and replace all of the set. It could have been real costly($2000-$3300), instead of $320!
