Great meal and atmosphere was pleasing. We were on a bus trip to Omaha and this house was on the tour. Learned a lot about General Crook and the house. Food was great and served hot! Even with a full house.

Great historic gem, built in 1878! Gotta see in person. It was built in under $8,000 with original crown molding made of plaster of Paris. Oak wood floors and crazy embossed wall paper. A vintage decor lover's dream!

Went here for Nebraska Passport, and overall really enjoyed my time! The lady helping us was SUPER helpful and knows a lot about the house, so it was a lot of fun to learn a lot of interesting facts not only about General Crook, but Omaha itself. Loved the exhibit in the basement, and felt like I learned a lot from that about Omaha and the people and companies in it! It was a very nice look into the Victorian era from a USA/Nebraska perspective. Would go again!

Very nicely presented! This is a great place to visit and learn about the history of Fort Omaha and the life of Gen. Crook. There's a self-guided tour (choose brochure or audio) and you can take as much or as little time as you like. Don't forget to tour through the gardens as well.

This historical home is beautifully restored. The Christmas decorations were especially a scene to behold. After depositing the suggested $6 donation (cash/check only), I wandered the site on a self-guided tour. The attendant was very friendly, and had lots of details to add about the history of the grounds. If you enjoy Victorian-era homes, it's worth a visit. If you're really an enthusiast, go during a time when they have guided tours. This site will also host events.

Incredible property and amazing staff. The house is beautifully decorated and well-maintained, full of curious household items from the epoch. Even has a fully functional music box which guests can operate, as well as a cool small exhibit of Valentine Day cards from 1920s to 1950s.Exhibits of vintage purses and childrens' shoes were also interesting.Staff were very knowledgeable and visibly enjoyed educating about the house and surroundings. They were so exceptionally hospitable that even... offered us an ice cream!!!Can't recommend enough. Amazing piece of Omaha history and great staff.
