Garden of the Zodiac is a really special place. It's in The Passageway in the Old Market. There's a cool outdoor space behind it, you really just have to check it out. It's free to attend. The art is usually not priced so I'm going with the assumption that i can't afford it. No matter! It's nice to look at, usually. That being said, it is a genuine independent fine art gallery and it's not always to my taste. And I did have an extended argument with a friend of mine over an exhibit last year that was so yuck. But tonight I saw an intense and impressive show of large-scale paintings by Alicia Sancho Scherich. The opening night is always crowded, in part because they have an absolutely AMAZING spread of delicious things from the Delicatessen of Buvette.I will go back at a quiet time for a closer look.

Very interesting art exhibit. I loved the outdoor area. The whole thing is very brief to walk through but is worth checking out.

Stopped by Omaha on the road trip back to TX and learned of the Garden of the Zodiac. It's located in the historical district and there were parking meters everywhere. Wear walking shoes as the roads are cobblestones. The garden at the back of an art gallery and the gallery is located inside a historical building and the signage was kinda hard to find. Thank goodness we found a worker and she led us to the gallery where the place was closed. The sign clearly said it should be in business but unsure what happened. Anyhow, the worker let us in to take a quick peek and shared there has been a change in management. The garden definitely needs a LOT of TLC as weeds are overtaking and lots of spider webs. Thankful we visited around 1 pm, otherwise, it might be creepy. Disappointing and unimpressed as we literally spent less than THREE minutes in the 'garden'. Also, most of the signs under the sculptures are missing. I will visit IF in the area but definitely do not make a trip there.

An absolute hidden gem in Omaha! They feature wonderful art in the gallery space, and an unexpectedly serene garden featuring busts of the zodiac signs nestled right in Omaha's Old Market district. This place is a must-see stop!

Next time you're in the Old Market Passageway, which is one of the coolest spots in Omaha, make sure you stop by the Garden of the Zodiac tucked away in the back on the upper level. As you walk in, there's a small gallery that's usually exhibiting fantastic contemporary art. Keep going and there's a peaceful outdoor garden with sculptures of zodiac signs. A totally unique and wonderful place.
