Great employees, I feel sorry for them. The owner is quite possibly the biggest tight ass in the county and that's saying something because I am one too. Dan reiter takes the cake. You literally serve your customers Bar S wieners on customer appreciation day? Damn dude, you went all out on that dollar for a dozen chunks of dog food didn't ya? Literally a slap in the face while you go home to your mansion in Beatrice and eat prime rib. You hurt yourself more by showing your customers what you really think of them. It's a small thing really but it goes a long way towards what your loyal customers actually realize how much you value them. I can't eat that junk I put it in a napkin and took it home to my dog. He might buy red this year, I'm staying green

I was just hung up on by the owner of Gage County Equipment. I had purchased a CASE skid loader 1840 from a family friend who knows nothing about heavy machinery (the machine was left with them) and wanted to make sure it was in good running condition before having it shipped from NE to IA as shipping was $600 as this is the only case dealership in the area. So they picked it up and took it to their shop and were in contact with me regularly on the phone about the problems they were fixing. I told them I wanted it ready to work when they were done with it and to fix anything they found broken. They called to check a couple times that I did in fact want things fixed on it and I told them to fix everything every call and emphasized I needed it in working order when it arrived. So it came yesterday and the hauler points to the trailer and says "You might want to look at this". It was a large puddle of hydraulic fluid sitting below the skid. I then helped him unload it and we could see right away that when the bucket moved hydraulic fluid was coming out of a hose at a fairly good rate. So I called Gage county and asked them about it and got different answers from every staff member I talked to. The mechanic himself said he he didn't see any fluid leaking. Then the owner of the store of the store gets on the phone and tells me that I had told them not to fix it. All of this after I had said over and over "I need it in working condition when it arrives". Sure, the fix may be cheap but the cost for me to move it to a place where it can be fixed will be hundreds of dollars again. This company does horrible work and then lies to your face about the specifics as if you don't remember what you yourself asked them to do. They don't track labor by task on the receipt either. There is no way they spend $600 labor changing fuel, changing battery, 2 cores 2 ball joints and shocks for the hand controls. This company will rip you off and then hang up on you when you call to confront them about it.
