A contractor doesn't speak over, disregard and verbally jab the opinion of a potential client and get the job. They were more interested in winning an argument than listening to the client and offering solutions. The last straw was calling me 'close-minded.'I have a decade of experience in commercial construction ranging from apartments to manufacturing to hospitals. I received much better treatment from Gabel's competitors and they offered alternate solutions to my preferred. I hope they were having a bad day, but I won't let them onto my property again.

I had the same experience as a previous reviewer. Matt was often short and downright rude at times. He also called us sometimes late in the evening (9:30 or 10 for context -- we're old) and was swearing and unprofessional. Now, I have no problem with swearing. But dude, this is a professional situation!We had several scheduling issues, and with that and his rudeness, we decided to get a few other estimates. One came in several thousand dollars under and had good references, so we went with them. Matt was informed that we'd decided to go another direction. Next thing you know, he's leaving my wife messages about how we wasted his time. Gabel did great work for us in the past, but this is not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere.
