Horrible experience with the RUDE male owner (La Vista shop)! My job request was to sew the elastic back onto the front waistline of my shorts. Pretty simple sewing job which I would have done myself if I had an operational sewing machine. When I got it back after over a week I noticed the left side was shirred but the right side was quite flat, so the crotch was totally off center. I brought this to his attention in a very nice manner but he threw a fit and refused to accept his mistake. After going back and forth he gave me back my $15 and he had the nerve to demand that I go back the next day so he could remove all the stitches he sewed! I refused and told him he could remove it right then and there while I waited because I would NEVER EVER go back! He didn't do it so I left. Look elsewhere for your sewing needs!Background: I have been going to this tailor for a few years now (just because they are the closest) and I noticed that they often make mistakes with simple sewing requests. Worse, the owner takes offense/gets grumpy when you show and explain nicely what needs to be corrected. I'm a very patient person and always give multiple chances, but in this case I should have just stopped tolerating this crap a long time ago! Live and learn!

I took a bridesmaids dress to get tailored there. I should have asked what the projected cost would be before I dropped it off. It was $97 when I picked it up and I was honestly a little shocked. I had her shorten my straps and narrow the hips. The straps ended up being way too short and it was almost unwearable and was unflattering. Now, I didn't go back and ask for a partial refund. She was very nice & so I can't comment on how the customer service would have been. She was very kind and helpful, and sometimes things like this just don't work! I wouldn't return, but I don't want to jeopardize future business for her. She was speedy but expensive!

My go-to tailor in Omaha. Cathy and her team are not only skilled, talented tailors, they're also just lovely people. From ballgowns to shorts they've always done an excellent job and at a fair price. I haven't found a better value anywhere else, so thankful to have found GI Tailors!

I came back on the date on my pick up slip and the items were ready. The staff is very friendly and the cost was worth the wait.

Best dry cleaning service in the city. Cathy provides professional and personal service to her customers. Wish I could support her morr during this weird time of Covid.

Absolutely without a doubt 100% fantastic service. Our family has been going to this location for around 10 years. We stumbled upon it, and have stayed with this location since then. They provide excellent service, outstanding quality, and do it with a smile on their face.We literally drive across town for our dry cleaning and it is completely worth while.

I've gone to G I Tailors consistently for a couple of years now. They are extremely fast, professional, and friendly! I've had pants hemmed and dresses hemmed and altered. Their prices are very fair.

GI does great work. Had a suit jacket tapered & I'm happy with the outcome. The ladies that run the shop are as sweet as can be. The prices are reasonable & the turn around time is fairly quick. Worth the trip.

Summary: We trusted them with cleaning our 1700.00 wedding dress and in return we were provided with unprofessional service falling way below our expectations. We came in with a dress that needed to be cleaned, and we left with a damaged dress that needs to be cleaned again.Waited a day to ensure that this review is level-headed and not emotionally driven.My Fiancé took her wedding dress here based on a referral from a friend. We had already chosen a different lady for our dress alterations and only needed the dress cleaned.After pickup we found the wedding dress (worth around 1700.00) neatly packaged in a standard clear plastic bag that was stapled closed around the outside.Our first and biggest issue was that they had stapled our dress along with the bag. Obviously, the folks here do not care to treat your property with respect. Wedding dresses are expensive, and it really doesn't take much effort to ensure that you don't put staples through your customer's clothing. While they are small holes, the dress now has little holes in it.The second issue was that there were black spots on the dress as well as hair. We had not removed the dress from the plastic bag and the hair was underneath.The third issue was that when my Fiancé took the dress back, they were confrontational and tried to defend everything. The most professional response here would have been. "I'm sorry we stapled your dress, and that we weren't able to clean it to your satisfaction. The black dots were unable to be removed, but there definitely shouldn't have been hair. Here is a full refund".Instead my Fiancé felt like she had to defend herself and argue about everything, and she left incredibly emotionally distraught. The lady yelled at her and tried to make her feel stupid. A bystander chiming in and telling her to 'leave her emotions out of it' didn't help the situation either. Ultimately we got a 75.00 cheque (roughly half the cost of the cleaning), a very bad experience and we never will be able to trust this place again.

Cathy is the best! She is so friendly and takes the time to know her customers personally.
