Great food, friendly staff, and super affordable prices. The tenderloin, loose meat sandwich, fries, and onion rings were all off the hook!

What is it about soft twist ice cream - doesn't it always hit the spot? Well so does Frostee's. It's located right on the corner in downtown. They are way convenient to pull over, stop and get a cone - too easy to pass this up.While there isn't anything fancy here, there logo (see pic) really conveys how straight-forward and honest their approach is. Our family stopped by for such a treat on a recent drive out to Cedar Lake and new Madison Co. Conservation Center. (The new Conservation Center in Pammel Park and is a must see - opening soon).This soft twist ice cream is sweet, creamy and soothing. We always get the 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 chocolate, but I can't fault anyone for getting entirely one flavor. On our next visit will be their banana split - always something to look forward to.

I got raspberry cheesecake Storm. This was a size small. Unreal yummy and unreal huge in size. Service is true small town love. Love the vibes of the place and so sad we found them a day before the closed for the season! I have a feeling this will be our spot next summer. Looks like it's everyone's spot though.

We stopped at Frosty's for lunch and grabbed a pork tenderloin and fries and a super nachos. My wife and I shared both and it was almost too much! Everything was just perfect and the price is very reasonable. We also split a malt and it is probably the best I've ever had. Winterset Iowa is lucky to have this little gem!

Very good place. Quick service and reasonably priced. Great place for a hot day. If you're in town and looking for something sweet you should stop here.

Want to take a step back in time. If so, this place should be considered a bonafide time machine. A small town ice cream shop in a picturesque little Norman Rockwell town. It doesn't get more American than this. The bonus to this is that the ice cream is perfect and they serve greasy, unhealthy food that feels wonderful.

My dad picked up a pizza burger for me. You can't hardly find pizza burgers any more. So it was a nice treat, and tasty too. he said it was 3.95, you can't go wrong there. I did experience the ordering or staff. I just know that pizza burger was yummy.

Today was the first time I have been back since the beginning of summer and I thought I could shake up from what I normally order to something not too heavy but the nachos was way way to light and not my cup of tea sorry just didn't do it for me, just chips and cheese? I fix mine better at the gas station better then this. If that's what I wanted I could've went there and added some jalapeño peppers with it just saying.

We love Frostee's for an ice cream treat after a long day of work outside in the heat Their signature Cyclones are quite filling and there are a variety of candy/flavor options available. Today we ordered lunch and had a tenderloin and a BBQ pork sandwich. There are multiple toppings available for the sandwiches. They also have hot dogs, nachos, walking tacos, and other food items that are quick and easy to make/eat. There are multiple picnic tables outside so that you can sit and enjoy your meal or ice cream right there. There is always a line at the window to order, no matter what time we drive by - a true sign of a great place! Open seasonally - closed during the winter.

Fabulous service (and fast) from very friendly workers! Tenderloin sandwich , an Iowa specialty, was an awesome taste to these Wyoming lips. Lemon soft serve was ambrosia
