Fox Run Golf Club

I feel sad for this course. It has great potential. It has a nice chipping area, it has a nice putting surface and a good driving range. The greens on the course are pretty good. From here it goes down hill. The range balls are practically unhittable. They are really old. The fairways are very bare. Mostly, they are weeds. The bunkers are concrete dirt. The clubhouse is very sad.Hopefully, some new owners will take over and spruce up the place. I hope so.

Visiting Council Bluffs, was going to shoot 9 holes day after Thanksgiving... Up until the course management pulled up to my wife and young niece who were walking the dogs and yelled at them, threatened to call the police, and generally acted like an ass. My wife and niece were admittedly in the wrong as they did not realize they were on the golf course, but a bit of politeness goes a long way instead of being an a-hole.The other reviews on here confirm my observation that the course is poorly maintained as well. Save your money.

Course is flat and in great shape with pretty views of the lake. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It generally is pretty busy but we played 9 in an 1 & 1/2 hours. Would come back for sure.

Will not be returning to this course in my lifetime. I'd much rather just quit playing the game after my most recent experience here(today). Everything is overpriced(even for a golf course) and was continually rushed throughout the course, being told at one point that there were nine parties waiting on mine which is absolutely outrageous. Not only is it a challenge to golf that slow, but if you have nine parties waiting on one another you need to spread your tee times out. It is nearly impossible to golf a 4some in 4 hours. To expect that is absolutely ridiculous and absurd. This is not the PGA Tour. This is not The Masters. It's a rinks dink little golf course in council bluffs Iowa and the staff will remind you of such the whole time you're there. The younger staff (cart girl, counter guy) were nothing but great and quite truthfully made my day while I was there. As for the others you have officially ruined a course that I've enjoyed my entire life in a matter of six hours. Congrats.

Pros: +The people that work at Fox Run are great, friendly people from the clubhouse help to beer cart girls and everyone in between.+Rates are fair.+Have a putting green and driving range.Cons:-The Greens. The green are sandy, bumpy... some roll fast, some roll slow. Not a fair test of putting.-Water. This course doesn't drain well. Any rain results in standing water in the bunkers and fairways. Not a fan.-Bugs, in the summer this place is bug central. Beware.-Slow play. For some reason 5somes and, yes, 7somes are allowed on WEEKENDS! Insane. The slow play is a major issue with me.A final note, the flooding of the summer of 2011 has really hurt this course, hopefully it improves in time. Will keep you posted.

There are so many courses to pick from in this area, go somewhere else! On a Sunday in May, course in terrible shape, dandelions almost a foot tall, every green had dead spots and lots of dead spots throughout including fairways.They've increased their prices to "not be known as the cheap course in the area" but not telling people until they get there. Prices online still show old rates. Also would NOT honor the Nebraska Golf Passport despite assuring NE passport they would. Left my name and number with the course so they could correct the issue. No response. Emailed no response.If you are going to charge more be clear and up front with patrons and maintain a course that is with the price.

I thought that the golf course here was very good. The customer service was amazing and loved the environment there. The layout of the course exceeds expectation with elegant water features to holes. Overall a really good course that I would recommend.

Used to love this course. Was always cheap and laid back- nothing special but great place to go after work for twighlight golf. New owner is TERRIBLE. Prices shot up, new rules w carts, changed the range, and got rid of twighlight golf. I'm sorry but this course is not worth the weekend greens fees and if you aren't even going to allow people to tee off later than 5 than there is NO reason to golf here. And why change the range to hourly?? Nobody wants to pay 20 dollars for balls to get warmed up for a round. Save your money and go to literally any other course around.

Course is not worth the rates, don't waste your $. Not sure why they raised the prices, will not be returning.

The course is GONE!!! The course is full of weeds and dead grass. The lakes are dried up. The greens are unputtable. The trees are all dying.
