This apartment complex spends more time and energy responding to reviews on the internet than it does handling contractors in a way that residents aren't suddenly surprised by the water being turned off. Then when you call the office they have zero information. They shut off the water yesterday for an hour and a half - fine. Then today they "suddenly and unexpectedly" had to shut off the water all day. How did you not know this yesterday? If the contractor didn't know this yesterday we should be holding them accountable and have actual information for residents. The email says until the late afternoon, but the office says "we think soon" but then has no reasoning for thinking it will be soon. Terrible place to live.EDIT: thank you Hannah for proving my point. Still waiting to discuss my issues with a human

One of the worst apartment complex's I've ever dealt with. CIP-Fountain Glen Apartments took out. $450 security-deposit after I paid for a $30 application fee and when I asked why and said I never gave permission they just played me off and said not to worry it would go towards the 1St months rent. The problem is I was still making a final decision on 2 different apartments and had 2 1/2 months before I wanted to move in.I decided to go with the other apartment and CIP- Fountain Glen Apartments's refused to give me back my security deposit even though I only filled out an application for approval and no lease agreement and gave them 1 1/2 months notice before I was to move in. This and when I couldn't get in online the staff filled out my application and said, don't worry even if you don't qualify or change your mind the most you will lose is the $30 application fee. Yeah RightDon't trust the CIP Owned Fountain Glen Apartments and Staff, they will take you for a ride on all security deposits you put down, And those deposits you don't authorize but they take it out anyway because they have your credit card information.Down right liars and thieves.

Just not a good place to live. The location is the only good part about it, as you have quick access to several highways and anything on the north side of town.Management has terrible communication, and the other remnants can be real pricks. I stopped using the communal washing machines after my laundry was removed 4 different times. On a separate occasion, my car was broken in to and the manager didn't even call me back. I can understand not being liable, but have some compassion. I lived here because I needed a roof over my head. You can find a different one.

This place sucks. We rent a two bedroom loft. When touring the apartments, I was told that the one we would be getting wasn't available to be shown as tenants were still in it. The one I was shown was beautiful with a nice staircase against one wall of living room, kitchen had just been updated and beautiful; same with the bathrooms. I was assured that the one we would be getting was EXACTLY the same as the one I was being shown, just located on the opposite side of the hallway. I verified that particular fact several times during the tour before going through the application process and signing the lease. My boyfriend moved here from Colorado, arrived in Lincoln the morning we were moving in as we were told we would not have access to the the apartment until we moved in because they were still "cleaning" it up to the very last minute. When we were finally given our keys, they had to be re-cut several times to get them to work. Then manager walked us to the apartment and left before we had even gotten the door unlocked. The apartment they gave us, the one that was supposed to be "exactly" like the one I was shown, was NOTHING like the one we were promised during the tour. It's still a two bedroom loft, however, it's much smaller, nothing has been updated, the upstairs toilet from day one has never worked and when reported nothing was done to actually correct the problem. The a/c has never worked worth a damn, the downstairs toilet works but just barely, the laundry facilities don't work at all, but worst of all is instead of the nice staircase against one wall going up to the loft it has an ugly, big, black wrought iron spiral staircase right in the middle of the living room!!! We had no choice but to go ahead and take it since my boyfriend had moved here from Colorado and literally would've been homeless as he had no where else to go and we were told there were no other two bedroom lofts available at that time. They are liars and do the bait & switch scam to get you to sign a lease then give you something totally different than what you were promised and you're screwed since you've already signed the lease. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!

A decent place to live for the price. The apartments are spacious and all have good sized windows. The drone of 180 never really goes away, but it's also very convenient to get to downtown or north Lincoln. When I've had to contact maintenance, they responded the same day, and fixed what needed to be fixed. Biggest complaints are the management and staff. Filing out the online application was clunky and unresponsive. Depending on which staff person you talk to, you can get different answers on how the application process works, which really sucks when you're on a deadline. They're often rude about even simple matters, and act like you're wasting their time. Also, word of warning. The pet policy listed on their website is wrong as of this posting. Cats are a $250 deposit and $25 per month, and they do require them to be front declawed. I was fortunate that my cat was already declawed but lying about the money per month is shifty and wrong. Left a really bad taste in my mouth when I went to sign my lease and was surprised with extra charges.

The place is very nice and secure. There is one lady who is extremely kind and worked with me while I was pregnant so rent could still be paid. The price seems a bit much but with all the features it's not that big of a deal

To start, I really did enjoy the 13 months I spent living at this location, the apartment was nice, the staff seemed friendly, and everyone seemed to keep to themselves. However, when the time came to move out, the office staff left a lot to be desired. I heard absolutely nothing from the staff after I filled out a Notice to Vacate, on which I specified my move-out date and the "responsible thru" date (four days after the move-out date). This was filled out a month before moving. Then, the day AFTER our scheduled move-out date, we received a call from the staff, wondering why we hadn't turned in our keys the day before. This was the first that either my roommate or I heard anything about when the keys were due. The Notice to Vacate form did not specify on what date the keys were due, so we figured that since we paid a full month's rent for only two weeks and also were paying for the electricity and all the utilities until the Responsible Thru date, it logically followed that the keys wouldn't be due until we were done paying for the apartment. Once again, the staff made no effort to clarify this very important information one way or the other. The same day (one day AFTER our scheduled move-out date) we received an email from Fountain Glen that contained important move-out information and a move-out checklist. On this email, it said, and I quote, "*Keys are due back to the office by 5 p.m. on the date you specified on your Notice to Vacate". However, as I mentioned above, there are TWO dates specified on the Notice to Vacate, and this email failed to specify which of those two dates it was. When I asked the staff exactly what date they mean by that, the staff either was unable to answer or refused to answer. Further down in this same email, it says "*Everything will need to be moved out of your apartment by your responsibility date." This date is 4 days AFTER the move-out date. When I mentioned this to the staff, they didn't seem to understand the logical problems with this setup. So let me spell it out one more time in case they see this: How am I supposed to move all of my belongings out of the apartment I am still paying for by the Responsibility date, if I turn in the keys and therefore forfeit my right to enter the apartment four days beforehand??? When I asked the two young women in the office how this makes any sense at all, they completely dodged the question. I suppose it's possible they didn't understand the problem, since they would just repeat nothing-answers they had already given me, which I repeatedly told them were not sufficient or even relevant answers. After pointing out the information on the email THEY sent me (many days too late by the way) and explaining how it does not spell out exactly what date the keys are due, they said to me that they send that email out as "just a courtesy" and that they don't have to send it at all. If that is the case, were they ever planning on giving me this very important move-out information??? Or did they expect me and every other resident to just figure it out on our own? Because the staff did not provide a shred of actual documented information on the topic beforehand. Additionally, the young woman who filled out my Notice to Vacate explained it incorrectly to me, claiming that the Responsibility date was the only date that needed a minimum of 30 days notice. Also, the fact that she told me the email was "just a courtesy" raises several other questions they were unable (or refused) to answer. Does she mean that all the information in the email is false? That they are not responsible for providing their renters with important move-out information BEFORE the move out date, and not a day later? Furthermore, if the keys really are due on the move-out date, then why didn't any of the staff ask us for the keys until the next day? I even went into the office on the move-out date to see if they had a door wedge (which they didn't), and the staff member that I had dealt with many times before didn't mention anything about keys being due two hours from then. Another strange thing they told me was that once the apartment has been rented to somebody else, we (the current residents) have to move out by the move-out date (even though we still pay for the electricity for 4 days afterwards). If that is the case, were they ever planning on informing us that our apartment had already been rented? The last time I checked, I am the RENTER, not the CIP staff member, and it shouldn't be my responsibility to know whether or not and when someone else is moving in. Finally, the email they sent, which they claim was "just a courtesy", was anything but a courtesy. It would be courteous of them to inform their residents on move-out procedures BEFORE they are scheduled to move out, e.g. a week in advance, and not a day AFTER the scheduled move-out date. I do not recommend this community, simply because of the unhelpful/uninformed staff.

I strongly disagree with the posts below me! I've honestly had such a great experience living here for the past year and a half. It's quiet, the residents are friendly, the office staff/maintenance staff are great, and the amenities are updated and always clean/working. I'd like to say that management has been nothing short of amazing when it came to helping me switch units when I resigned my lease and just altogether being available to help me with whatever I need.My unit isn't fully updated, as some units are, but I get so many compliments on how nice my apartment is paired with the added bonus of a well-kept courtyard view. I love how close the apartment community is in relation to anything in North Lincoln. It's also not even a 10 minute drive to downtown. Thought I'm not a student anymore myself, I know it's a great option for students looking for a relaxed environment away from campus life. As a working professional, it's nice to come home to an apartment complex where everyone pretty much keeps to themselves and is respectful to their neighbors. I've lived in two different buildings and found this to always be the case!
