My husband and I are making our way through the "alphabet" of restaurants in Omaha that we haven't tried, and our F choice was First Round. We'd heard great things about it, and those things we heard were not wrong!First Round is located in the Blackstone District, which is a bustling neighborhood so parking can be a little hard to find on busy days. We found a spot after circling for a while and made our way to First Round. When we walked in, I was immediately greeted with a rush of fun music and the cool murals and decor. There are a bajillion TVs hung around the interior, so I could see this being a great spot to catch a game! There is a nice patio outside with colorful picnic tables, but we were there in winter so didn't get to try those out. It would be fun in summer to have a few drinks out on the patio - so we will have to go back for that. Our server was excellent, and super cheery. She had good recommendations, and updated us on the status of each item as she brought previous items out, which I really appreciated. We ordered a few appetizers/sides to begin:-Street Corn "Bases Loaded" Fries: If you're a fan of Elote, these are crinkle cut fries topped with all of those same things you find on Elote. The fries themselves were yummy even without all those toppings, so add them on and it's a home run!-Fried Mac & Cheese Bites: These were AMAZING and super well seasoned with tasty batter. They came with the Calabrian Mayo dip, that was so tangy and delicious. The order came with four bites, but they are giant so one or two per person is enough. I had to cut my one bite into quarters LOL! -Sirloin Skewers: Yum! These were little skewers with steak, veggies, and a topping of salsa verde. They were hearty and tasty. My husband isn't a fan of char on his steak, which these had - but I loved them. The char was on the outside of the steak bits, but the inside was soft and perfectly cooked.-Street Corn Quesadilla: This was so flavorful, with the chicken inside perfectly cooked, and the corn and lime crema mixture making it mouthwateringly tangy. It was huge, and could be a meal on its own. I even took half of it home in a box and reheated later for a snack and it was still great! For our entrees, we ordered a few things our server recommend, and we shared them both:-Wellington Pocket: I was surprised they had a beef wellington for $12.99, and especially one this divine! The puff pastry was light and not too thick/heavy, and it had a mustard sauce and some duxelles layered inside. The only thing that would have made it better would be a little gravy/brown sauce on the outside, but then it wouldn't be a handheld type item, which is the menu it was on (the In the Pocket section, which their online menu says "think of hot pockets" haha)-Chili Cheese Dog: I am not a huge fan of hotdogs in general, but this was GOOD! The chili was more on the sweet side, almost like a Mole, and the sausage itself was really high quality and full of flavor. First Round is fun, affordable, and above all else, has great food and service - that's a perfect 10/10 from me!

I know what you're thinking. "Is Blackstone big enough to support 2 sports bars?" and the answer is not really, but if you're looking for a sports bar in Blackstone, this is the one to go to.90s themed through and through with some of the best bar food I've had in town, I absolutely loved my time at First Round when I came in for lunch shortly after they opened. From their tasty appetizers, to their flavorful sauces on their wings and delicious burgers, First round was a hit for me through and through. Being a 90s kid, The playlist was a nostalgic flashback to my youth. Playing all the greatest bangers 90s alternative and hip hop had to offer. The service was stellar and one of the owners was working the bar and he was a delight to chat with. I need to come back here for a Husker game one of these Saturdays!

This restaurant is located in a hip and trendy district just outside of downtown. It has like an 80s theme and has a lot of personality. They have a huge dining area with a full bar with seating, that is where I sat. There is also small patio out front of the restaurant. It is a very colorful restaurant and there metered street parking available within a reasonable walking distance. You will find televisions above the bar area and a couple of coin operated video games in the corner that you can play. The bar has a few signature cocktails and has exotic hot dogs, fries, wings, salads, walking tacos and fried uncrustables. It is a very eclectic menu, with lots of variety. The drink menu is in an old VHS tape case. The staff there was friendly enough. It took them a while to warm up I guess. I ordered the the Philly hot dog with cajun fries. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food. It was a lot of food. I could not finish it all. It was fresh hot and tasty. I was a unique dog and I liked it a lot. I had a couple of their cocktails and they were just OK, for me. Nothing to write home about. Anyway, this restaurant has a hip vibe. I was picking up what they were putting down. If the service was a little better, this would have easily been a 5 star experience. The colorful mural that covers the dining area wall is awesome. If you are looking for a sports bar, with some unique and tasty food, look no further. This is your spot.

Review update: I went in for March madness tonight and all the tv screens inside the restaurant really make sure you can't miss a game!! Much appreciated. I ordered the street corn quesadilla and it was so good! I also got a side of mac and cheese which had a crazyyyy cheese pull- I was impressed by that. Definitely a place I will be hitting for happy hour in the future. Our server was also super fun and made sure to check in on us even though it was super busy which was appreciated.

We came here because we were meeting my girlfriend's friend while we were in town visiting. Her friend has celiac disease and double checked to make sure there was a menu she could order from before choosing this spot. Our waiter did a good job to double check that there was a separate fryer for the gluten free options.I ordered the Rodman, my girlfriend ordered the T-Mac and her friend ordered the GF T-Mac. The food was good and our server was great at making sure to follow up with us.The place had a 90's theme to it from the art on the wall to the Street Fighter and NBA Jam arcade cabinets. It's a nice little spot to kick back to watch the game or order a few drinks. We had a good time just eating and chatting it up.

Stumbled upon this place while just walking the streets. It was trivia night, seemed to be a fun group that was in there. Bartender was very attentive, but I was the only one at the bar. Had an absolutely amazing Mexican street corn and chicken quesadilla, and some wings that had a really good smokey flavor

I've only been here once, but a nice addition to the neighborhood. Their Chicago Dog is called a "Rodman". It's good. Only things a little off for a Chicago Dog is the bun isn't steamed, but toasted making it dry, and the onions are sautéed (not bad, just different). I couldn't really taste the celery salt. And most importantly: no ketchup. Fries are perfect. The staff was great. The vibe is 90s themed. A good variety of searing areas and plenty of TVs. Great music. The iced tea isn't brewed. It's one of those ice teas from a soda machine syrup pack that doesn't taste like tea. Like it a lot. Will go back.

Food could improve a lot. Great location but needs to be better with this. In addition, kept garage open on a cold day which didn't help while watching a game.
