Fireplace by Design

We purchased our 2 gas stoves back in about 2002, replacing our wood burning stove, and have never regretted our purchase. They have kept our house warm during power outages, since you can turn them off and on with remote, and not needing electricity, which is so handy to do so from the easy chair. We have counted on them for help, a couple of times/ my fault on both times, you do not leave the door open as I did thinking during the outage we would get more heat, as you can melt the knobs./ Yep, common sense not to do that. But the guys helped me and back to normal. The stoves are great. The guys let us browse around and did not pressure type sales, just answered questions and gave info. They installed it, cleaned up, explained how to use it, and gave great service. They have a huge selection for every style to choose from, little old fashion to modern and sleek. You can enjoy yours and know you can count on good service too.

From the moment we walked in, we were immediately impressed with the knowledge, honesty and non salesy approach of Fireplace by Design. On top of this, their bid for a higher quality and larger fireplace was nearly $2,000 less than one of their major competitors (Claxton). Compliance with building codes, gas line requirements and attention to detail was outstanding.The day our unit was installed the staff were friendly, focused and again very knowledgeable. This business will do tear out of old fireplace units if needed which some businesses we visited would not. I cannot say enough positive things about John and the Fireplace by design team. My opinion is they are the best in town.

Our new gas insert fireplace was installed professionally and on-time. We discovered afterward, however, we both mis-communicated about additional work to be done on the chimney top. When we pointed it out a week later, John did not argue or debate at all, but did the work to our satisfaction without additional charge. I'm truly impressed by the customer-centric approach by this small business. Thanks guys. Dave
