After walking around the Luminarium for a couple hours, we worked up an appetite and stopped in to get some pastries from their cafe (Lolas) because they're absolutely amazing and the views also didn't hurt. There's a plenty of variety of drinks and wine beer seltzers. There were a lot of folks dining in and I was envious of all the plates! with all the sunlight coming in it's an absolutely dreamy spot to come Work get a bite to eat and bonus to be near the luminarium. Before I could order I was greeted by two different baristas who were so friendly and smiley. Can't wait to come her for a real meal.

We were "next door" visiting the Lewis & Clark Trail HQ; so Fig was a convenient lunch spot. It was a Monday and we had the place to ourselves. The food was good, although a bit pricey for the portions. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the views. Service was friendly and efficient.

I was visiting Omaha and wanted to try a good breakfast out there and found this spot. The food is not only good but it's next to the Missouri River so the views were amazing and it's right in the science museum as well!I really enjoyed the lox bagel and the zucchini bread so much, definitely worth the price and the staff here is so sweet too!

Server was really nice. I forgot to get his name. He recommended the pickled mushroom grilled cheese which worked for me because of the combination of sweet and savory and tangy. I had to run to catch my flight or I'd have stayed a bit longer. Really beautiful views of the river while I got some journaling done. Worried I came off of rude toward the end but I was really jittery off the great cup of coffee I had.

Look out, there's another brunch location in town! Located in the new Illuminarium at the waterfront Fig offers a casual yet sophisticated location for breakfast, lunch, small entrees and everything in between all day long with great views. Note that they are closed on Tuesdays so check their website for any changes to their operating hours.Indoor and outdoor seating is available weather permitting. There is a separate entrance to the restaurant that allows you to peek into the gift shop and lobby of the Illuminarium if you don't have time to check out this latest attraction in downtown Omaha.Fig is run by the same owners of Lola's at the film stream in Dundee offering a farm to table with many vegan and healthy food options. Ordering is done at the counter and food is brought to you at the table. Your ticket can be left open so you can keep adding on and do what we did is try almost everything on the menu! Fig offers a wonderful variety of pastries and cakes to accompany their standard venue items and a number of specials that change regularly.Great coffee options with a well trained barista is a nice way to accompany any meal or just grab a refresh in the afternoon along with a light snack. We started with a large cheeseboard for the table in order to allow us to study the menu. Cappuccinos were awesome along with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages are available. All of our food options were creative, fresh, and well prepared. Not your typical American breakfast menu, but definitely a selection that allowed us to try a little bit of everything. Service was exceptionally pleasant, attentive, and interested in ensuring we were satisfied with what we ordered I highly recommend that you stop in and check out this niche location that will definitely get more popular once all the access roads are open by the riverfront. We were in early in the morning which allowed for us to enjoy a fairly open restaurant however, things started to pick up about noon when the first wave of Illuminarium guests were coming in for food. A wonderful new option for a great experience.

Gorgeous space. Loved the representation of different Omaha business: they have bread and pasties from Lola's and Artemis teas. The food is good but simple. We enjoyed vanilla lattes the seasonal quiche as well as the turkey sandwich. My only complaint is that sandwiches don't come with sides. So, the meal is pretty plain. Other than that it really is an enjoyable place with beautiful views.

Good place to stop and re-energize while checking out the Luminarium! Many plant based options as well. We had the cauliflower sandwich, chai, and baked goods. The chai latte was very spicy, good but not what I expected. The sandwich was great as were the chocolate roll and blueberry lemon bread.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. It's a beautiful open space - lovely to spend a Saturday afternoon in! We both loved our food and got coffee as well. Some great options that would please everyone. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday, so entirely understandable. I'd love to come back for dinner or a drink!

Looks pretty. Maybe they'll get better once they're open longer. Asked for an iced coffee because it's 100 degrees today and clearly got hot coffee with ice dumped in. The coffee was obviously watered down and barely any ice. Only drinking it because it's so hot out.Had to ask for more ice just to make it cold!Asked for more ice and they added ice and randomly added more vanilla so now it's sweet water. I'm so confused at this point lol. Appreciate the gesture but I didn't ask/or want that.Ordered a sandwich and the bread was BURNED BLACK. Parents took all the crust off just so they could eat it. Why serve this? That's just lazy and low standards.Wouldn't come back.Overpriced in my opinion and I wouldn't have served any of this to a customer knowing it was going to be like this. Just tell us you're out or don't served iced coffee or burnt bread. I would've been understanding and went elsewhere. Waste of money.

I was very impressed! Usually an eatery connected with a busy museum/exploratorium is mediocre at best but Fig was no simple eatery. While they did have quick-grab items on one side of the register, the other side is a genuine spot with a thoughtful menu and a calm spot to relax. The friend I was with had asked for no mayonnaise on her breakfast sandwich. Well they accidentally put Mayo on the sandwich and then took a bit to re-make the sandwich...so they took the whole thing off our bill! I had ordered a lunch special item and really enjoyed it. Overall I highly recommend this place.
