Farmer's Daughter Cafe

Excellent breakfast. Sat at the counter and met the owner... super friendly. My waitress was excellent with a great personality.Food was great, coffee delicious, and inside it super clean. They also make homemade pies... I want to try next time.

Small cafe place. Looks family run. Had a nice breakfast. Ham and cheese omelette and order of biscuits and gravy which is a meal in itself. Good food.

Local breakfast place. Looks like it's been here a while. Serving local food to locals. Everything was great. Decent cup of coffee.Everyone is so nice, the NewYorker in me is instantly suspicious.Good food, good prices. Worth the detour from the 80 highway.

In our grand cross country tour where we've been looking for good local places, we ran across Farmer's Daughter Cafe in Grand Island, Nebraska and I'm glad we did. The hostess, if you can call her that as she was just parked behind the cash register a hostess, but she was super nice and greeted us warmly. She told us to sit anywhere so we chose a booth near the back, one of only three available tables in an otherwise busy diner. Our server, didn't catch her name, was great and had a fun sense of humor. We ordered coffee and water to start the coffee was very good. We then ordered the "Sunshine" which is hash browns topped with green peppers, country sausage, over easy eggs, and country gravy. It looked like someone dumped a can of dog food on a pile of food and punched it down. Who cares? It was DELICIOUS! One of the best diner breakfasts I have ever had. A lot of diners across the country could learn a lot about food from the cooks at Farmer's Daughter. When the server asked how the food was, I was halfway through and told her some of the worst food I had ever had. She laughed and said "tell me that when you've licked the plate clean. I almost did but the helping of food was so big I couldn't finish it. This place is fantastic. If you ever find yourself driving cross country and go by Grand Island and have some time for a detour into town for breakfast or lunch be sure to stop here.

Been a while since we last here. Enroute to Columbus br today, decided this as we drive by. Obviously a locals favorite. Pancakes burnt, hashbrowns, onions, jalapenos same. Eggs med/over easy. And all is teal good.

It is your quintessential mom & pop diner. No frills, just good comfort food, friendly service, and the feeling that not everything has to change, just for the sake of change.

The coffee is strong, and rough, just like the farmers who frequent this joint. And the hashbrowns? Well, let's just say that they come straight out of a package, but with a smile on the side.

Stopped in for breakfast. Cute little cafe. Friendly staff. Food was good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was delicious. Good portion size. Just as I ordered.

The food is great, service is super friendly. Try the Sunshine, it's very good. The coffee is good black, as well.

Always good service and food. Open for breakfast and lunches.. Convenient location in town.
