Fame Grilled Cheese is a "ghost kitchen" run out of Village Inn. I decided to order from them, because I thought a grilled cheese focused eatery was a great idea, but one I have seen done in the past to lackluster success. This virtual kitchen was an okay version of the idea, but nothing out of this world amazing. I ordered the Classic Grilled Cheese which came with a side of tomato soup for dipping. When it arrived, it had a small side of the tomato soup in a Styrofoam container that had a large side for the sandwich and a small side for the soup.I will note now that this container style is what they sent almost everything in. I am guessing they just have only that style of container and when people order other items that don't come with something for the side area, they have to just use the divided container anyway. So the one thing that did need the divided container was the actual grilled cheese. The sandwich had pretty crispy/burnt and hard edges but the middle cheesy area was surprisingly good and gooey. The tomato soup on the side was good for dipping and then for putting my crispy burnt edges in as "croutons" almost.I grabbed an order of the Chicken Tenders, thinking that maybe the grilled cheese wouldn't be enough to fill me up or it wouldn't be great. The tenders showed a dipping sauce in the image, but there was no option shown to actually select a sauce with the tenders, so I sort of assumed it would just come with Ranch (the sauce pictured). It came with nothing. Luckily, I had some Cookies BBQ at home so I could save those and have a few bites. They were mid.As as a little side item, I ordered the Mac and Cheese. Now, I will tell you something I'm ashamed to admit - I have eaten a LOT of Kraft macaroni and cheese, and this was absolutely Kraft macaroni and cheese. The sight of this was actually comical because the runny orange sauce with these little teeny noodles was also in the gigantic Styrofoam divided container.I ordered the Loaded Fries, which were crinkle cut fries with gloopy cheese blobs on top, with some bacon crumbles sprinkled on. This actually was ok when you heated them up a little in the microwave to melt the cheese blobs. All in, my order was $35 (not including tip or delivery). Would I order from them again? Maybe, - but I would stick with the grilled cheese only and skip all the side items!
