We attended a birth preparation class here with our first born and had a positive experience. I'm in medicine but it was nice for my husband to get some basic information and have a space to ask questions. Also a nice place to get opinions on products and practice swaddling babies, talk about different bottle options, support for breastfeeding, essentials to have in the house for when baby comes (for example a rectal thermometer was not on our radar as something to purchase). It's also nice to get to know them because they provide birth and postpartum doula services which can be really nice to have especially if you don't have family in the Omaha area. I did go back for a chiropractor appointment later and did not like that experience as much (I think chiropractic care just freaks me out in general with all the cracking and potential for injury). They do have tea and a nice waiting area for patients.

I have to echo the billing issues mentioned here. It's like a choose your own adventure if you'll get a follow up bill and for how much. I liked my chiropractor but couldn't get over the frustration with billing so I worked with my insurance to find a different provider.I also stopped my weekly massages during COVID as it didn't seem the pandemic was a concern to most of the staff - the lobby was usually busy with no protocol and masks were: not on, not on properly, or not enforced. Their response to COVID and staff safety also seemed to cause a mass exodus of massage therapists in the late Spring of 2020. I prefer the Papillion location but would often go to Center St. for more availability. The experience didn't vary too much between location. I've slowly started back for massage now that I'm vaccinated. If the insurance billing improved, I'd start PT/Chiro again - but right now it's not worth the headache. On a more positive note: I enjoyed the yoga classes they offered at Papillion for a short while, too. Hope those eventually come back! And, finally, my favorite part of Essentials: Natalie! She's like my Norm in Cheers :) Natalie is knowledgeable, great with scheduling - she just makes visiting the office a better day! I seemed to have the fewest issues with insurance billing if she handled the appt check-in (some of the front desk staff seem to be HS/after school job, which is fine - but they don't seem as knowledgeable about the insurance process).

I came on to review Dr. Piper Wegener, as she has been such a blessing over the last few months, and especially to our family this month. After some of the hardest few days of my mothering journey, I brought my 1.5 year old in for help with a bilateral ear infection. As soon as I walked in the room, Dr. Wegener could see I also needed some care and offered to adjust me as well. I could've cried tears of relief and joy, I hadn't even thought about myself as I was caring for my two girls during our hard week. Dr. Wegener adjusted all 3 of us (my 3.5 year old as well), and we came up with a plan to get my littlest feeling as best we could. We came in every appointment as planned, and each and every time Dr. Wegener took her time to check in with us, completely customizing each & every adjustment and explaining to me what she felt and saw in my young one as we moved through the days. It was so empowering to me as a client and also as a mom to see my little girl get better and better with each adjustment. She took extra care to check her ears and be sure what she was seeing was accurate. It was this extra care that had me refer my MIL to her, as well as send out her information to all of my friends - many of whom plan to schedule an appointment asap if they haven't already. I am now seeing Dr. W for some things going on in my own body and I leave every time feeling like I have a partner in my health and well being. Whether you've never had chiropractic care before or an adjustment veteran, I cannot recommend Dr. Wegener highly enough. PS - she is great with kids. I wish I could post a video here of my 18mo old, who just lays face down on the table for the entire adjustment and drools because she is so relaxed :)

I was having back pains, probably some kind of spasm. I get it a couple times a year and it incapacitates me. Lower back and I can barely walk. My GP gives me pain meds and that doesn't help the issue, just masks the pain. I asked GP about going to chiropractor and he said it would not help, they are skeletal and I need muscular. Out of desperation and friends suggestions I tried chiropractor anyway. I picked Dr Zortman and after about 20 minutes I was standing upright and walking. I was absolutely amazed. I go through this debilitating issue a few times a year and it lasts for over a week and I miss work too. She had me back at work in two days. I was skeptical due to what my GP said, but I will never take pain meds again for this, I will go straight to Zortman. I have found my cure! In addition, I've been to chiro's before and I like what they do to relieve my aches and pains, but always felt like an ATM for them. Always wanting to put me on a "plan" and even when I felt better they wanted me to come in. This place is NOT like that, they don't pressure you for more appts or anything. They do what's needed and leave it up to me when I want to go back. Love this place. Dr Zortman is my favorite, but have heard great things about Dr Dishler as well. Please try it, you will be pleasantly surprised.I am struggling with Restless Leg Syndrome currently and may try them for acupuncture this week. Will update my review and let you know how it goes.

I am disabled and told my nurse I was afraid of being charged large fees. So, she called Essentials and told them my fears. They told her I would not have any fees because I am on Medicaid and medicare and don't have any copays. So, I arrive that day and I'm told I have to pay $65 for each type of person I see. This floors me. Then I'm told I have to pay the $65 today or I wont be seen. The entire wait-room was full. I was so embarrassed. Normal people may be able to, but disabled can't afford $65 fees! Especially after I called you and gave you the opportunity to let me down. But you still had me come in and asked me for money I don't have? This is wrong. I wont go here. I will find Pt and a chiropractor. Maybe I will still have to pay $65. But I'm sure they will know how to treat people with respect.

Always friendly and helpful front desk staff. Easy to make appointments and have later hours. Clean and well equipped. I had back pain from wearing a fracture boot and the first appointment alleviated most of the pain immediately. I will continue to use this facility for further aches and pains. They did not try to sell me on other services or merchandise even though it is offered. They have moved to about 85th and Center Street

I went thru back surgery and received some relief but was left with ongoing pain that I could not shake.my Bach surgeon sent me to physical therapy which after six months provided no relief. So he suggested chiropractic. So I found essentials and doctor Hansen and she is nothing less than a miracle workeri will not say I am totally healed yet but the persistent high pain is gone from both my lower back and the carpel tunnel pain in my thumbsThank you Dr Hansen

Been meaning to do this for awhile. My wife went here last year a couple times when she was pregnant and her back was hurting. She went twice at the end of December and then again twice in early January. It was a bit more expensive than our regular place, but she liked it and kept going. I asked her after that first visit how much it would be and she said that one was free and the others would be $52.64 and they charged our FSA card. Feb rolls around and we get a bill in the mail for an additional $200.19. My wife calls them and they said they were having problems with Blue Cross and would get it sorted out and to ignore the bill. My wife thinks she called again in March and was told the same thing about insurance. I don't have that bill though. April rolls around and we get another bill for $126.18. We didn't call this time and then got another one in May for the same amount. I made my wife recently call again just to make sure we weren't going to get sent to collections or anything. This time she was told by someone else in the office that they completed some stuff that they billed for but insurance doesn't cover. My wife said the lady had her touch her toes, but that's the only extra thing she remembers doing. She was just doing what the chiropractor asked her to do. She was never told it would be an additional charge that was not part of the visit!! So, why tell her a specific amount for the visit if you plan to charge way more down the road?? The bill is messy and the accounting doesn't make sense either. They are waaaaayyyy overcharging for what they offer. It's no wonder insurance in this country is so expensive with businesses like this manipulating the system. We stopped going here after we got the first bill and will not go back. Still having billing problems with them 6 months later, so would def not recommend.

I've only gone to Essentials for massage therapy and boy ohhhh boy has it been a fantastic experience. Both Kaylee and Crystal are so skilled. I'm a former LMT myself and sometimes it can be hard for me to just let go a receive massage without analyzing all the moves. Both of these therapists have gotten me to zen out. I think a lot of us have a hard time setting aside the money and time for massage for ourselves but the health dividends from quality massage can really pay out over time. These therapists recognize massage not just as a way to relax or unwind, but as a powerful way to take care of our bodies. Thank you-so grateful!
