Omgosh EGG TARTS! It's like impossible to find fresh egg tarts in Nebraska. This place has so many variety unfortunately I showed up in the late afternoon and everything was mostly sold out! They apparently sell out early by 10:00 so you know it's good! I got custard buns, red bean, & egg tarts! The custard bun was nice and subtle, everything has the perfect amount of sweetness. The prices ranges from 2.50-3.50+ I can't wait to come early to see what other options they have. There's no Asian bakery in the town so it's great that they have this option!

I never write reviews but I will for this place. Emma Bakes is definitely not what you expect to find in the middle of Nebraska but boy are the people of Lincoln lucky to have access to such a fantastic Asian bakery. First of all, you can tell from the ambiance, decor, and Emma herself that she is heartfelt and loves her craft. It shows in her pastries and everything in the little store. Furthermore, the baked goods itself are outstanding. I never expected to have arguably the best egg tart of my life in Lincoln Nebraska but that is exactly what Emma has achieved. Everything else is of excellent quality and everytime I've gone, my only complaint is that I wish I could buy out the whole store. If you do plan on patronizing Emma's amazing store, make sure you go earlier during the day. The store sells out fast and early so you'll need to get there sometime before 11ish to be able to pick from her full selection of items.GO THERE. Your mouth will thank you later.

Absolutely the best bread and egg tarts I've ever had. Exceptional customer service it's a no brainer i have found my new favorite place in Lincoln.

This was a lovely surprise to happen upon today! I was planning on going to a business next door for the first time and got sidetracked when I noticed this cute tiny bakery around the side of the building. The offerings are all beautiful, very reasonably priced too, and what I've tried of the ridiculous amount I brought home has been just incredible. So excited to have another bakery option with more interesting international offerings in town!

Emma bakes it's just the sort of bakery I've been looking for. It is a type of Asian/French/Korean. A lot like Tous les Jours franchise that has a store in Kansas City and soon to be one in Lawrence Kansas. I just love the taro bun and the garlic bread was to die for. Also, husband and I love the egg tarts. Asian style bakeries are much more subtle in flavor and buns are so moist.

Absolutely delicious. We got 2 savory breads and 2 sweet breads and we were very happy with all of them. They do sell out pretty early so don't go too late or variety will be limited. This place a must-go if you are in Lincoln during the morning.
