Elm Street Grill

In town for the weekend, and went with friends to eat here Friday night. One of the specials was prime rib, and it came in a huge portion, exactly as ordered, and delicious. Honestly was better than the last few times I have ordered in Kansas City. Additionally, the au gratin potatoes and creamy corn were great, too. I took home part of the potatoes and nearly half the prime rib, it was that large of a portion. Companions had salmon (looked delicious), and a pasta dish, of which he also took home about half. They said service was sometimes iffy, and it may have been a tad slow, but was friendly and not out of the norm for these days. They are doing what some larger city establishments have trouble getting right, namely well-done food worth what you pay.

Nice golf course and love the Elma Street Grill. Chicken strip basket ....tasty.....fish n chips super... lobster ravioli...bam! Nothing frozen here. Hand dipped and fries were made to order. Good way to finish a round.

I get due to covid everything is hectic BUT ya never know what u can or cant order here. Whether its carry out or dine in ya never know. Ordered steak ceasar salad and hamburger (special) took us well over an hour to get our food and there were only 3 other tables. Bun for the burger was dry and very plain. Lettuce was brown and the waitress came back once in that hour. Taste of everything was bland, burger was dry and burnt. Hoping it's due to covid, but this was the 2nd time so thinking it's just how it is!
