Common Ground is a family friendly gym that meets a diverse range of needs. I used to attend this gym back in my high school days, but returning as an adult I can see just the hub of community that it has become. The variety of having a pool, a basketball court, a running track, lifting areas, cycling rooms, workout classes for members and guests, and more makes it optimal for all types of active people. The front desk staff is attentive and kind, very helpful if you need anything. The staff working the weights floor is mostly young teens, but they regularly clean and are available when needed. I have taken a few workout classes and absolutely loved it! There is a great amount of high quality equipment that is provided, and the space itself is very clean. Floor to ceiling mirrors allowed me to see my form, and to face the opposite way and still see the instructor. The instructor herself was friendly and uplifting, and kept the workout class moving while still ensuring we all understood each movement and what we were working. The staff came in and cleaned our mats afterwards, which is reassuring! The locker rooms are very clean and spacious in my opinion. There is always free space, and also three mirrors with vanity space if you need to get ready after your workout. There are also three showers, and an ADA friendly option as well. I highly recommend Common Ground if you are in need of a family friendly gym with plenty of variety and clean, updated, facilities!

My husband and I have been members since it first opened, due to the close location (we live about a mile away), and the great facility. The abundance of equipment is great, the indoor track is fine and the classes are good. HOWEVER.....their customer service is horrible. Very seldom am I welcomed into the facility by the "3" staff members who are too busy engaged on their personal cell phones or are reading a book. Even though I have to stop and scan my membership tag.....they don't even look up to acknowledge me as a member. Even the staff upstairs in the actual equipment area.....they never say ANYTHING and are NEVER engaged in cleaning the facility or equipment. I would discontinue this membership if it weren't for the close location. Adel V.

Elkhorn Common Ground is a great community gym. Top notch equipment, clean, and bright with tons of big windows to let the sunshine in. It always smell fresh and clean. The facility is a nice and welcoming place, and you see lots of variety in clientele and levels of fitness there. The staff is friendly and talkative. The rates are reasonable, and the classes are great as well. I especially recommend Charlie's yoga class- top notch! They do have a childcare facility on site, though I've never made use of it. Highly recommend for its friendly and community atmosphere.

I've been going to this fitness center since it opened in 2005. They've got all the machines you could possibly want and an indoor pool. A huge gymnasium, boot camp classes and it's location keep me coming back. Only wish they had an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna.

We had a birthday party here today and I have NEVER since my daughter was born experienced a bad birthday at a location. Until today where we experienced a DISASTER!! We payed for a birthday package. The lady I spoke with who deals with the packages told me we have access to everything in the party room such as scooters floaties ect. WELL, we swam for an hour and when the lifeguards blew the whistle we decided to switch to the gym. We grab scooters and head to the gym and I was in complete and udder aw!! The gym was split in half and there were volleyball players practicing on one side and the other with people playing basketball. The kids were very upset like what are we supposed to do with an area like this? The lady that works there came in and I asked why is this split like this? She replied a guy was doing something with it. WELL I scheduled my daughters birthday a month in advance! Why the hell was the gym not ready??? The kids went to play in the game room until we had the pizza delivered to the party room. In the meantime tho there was these blow up round balls kids could get in and roll down the gym. A couple ladies were there saying they had them there for a private party and were extremely rude!! A private party? Interesting!! Cus I asked for a private party and I was told no! We have to come when everyone else is swimming and playing in the gym. And while we were in the gym a lady came up to us and said how long are you going to be in here? I asked why? She said well my party is Coming in soon and we want to make sure it's private! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! And to top it off I asked for the rest of my Money back the week before because only 8 kids could come because of her school Policy and one lady said yes no problem and I was transferred to Chris who told me NO because I bought a package! Yea Chris I did and what exactly does that package include huh!!? Cus we were not allowed to do shit! My kids do swimming lessons here and we were going to buy a 1100 dollar year member ship for our family well you can bet your ass that's not happening and I doubt we will ever be back! Absolutely rude and unbelievable how I was told what we could do and have and we got SHIT! And we're told well we have four parties today! I Do NOT CARE! I paid for mine so I should get my time!! Make it so ALL FOUR PARITIES ARE SPACED OUT TO GET EVEN TIME AND SPACE! Don't just take our money and leave us with nothin but a horrible time!
