Went in a bit late at night and the service was great!!! Hubby and I shared a Mocajete because it's my favorite thing to order there. It comes with beef, chicken, pork, chorizo, shrimp, cheese, onions, bell peppers, and cactus. The flavor is amazing. On the side it comes with tortillas rice beans, sour cream, guac, and pico de gallo. It's definitely a must try.

I'll start by saying this, my kids left telling me that we found our New Mexican restaurant. We arrived for dinner around 5:20 and were seated immediately. Plenty of parking available. SERVICE We had very good service here. Our waitress was very prompt, friendly and patient. She was very quick to check on refills, boxes and the check. AMBIANCEThis place was inviting and clean. TVs for entertainment and I love that the tables weren't all smashed together. FOODThe food was great. The chicken in the quesadillas was perfect. So flavorful and moist. My kids had the chicken strips with fries and a burrito/taco combo. They both really loved their meals. Oh! And the chips and salsa were fantastic! PRICE I felt the price was fair for the service and quality of food. Will be returning

We visited El Vallarta with a few friends on the way to see a movie at the Alamo in La Vista, and we were pleasantly surprised! El Vallarta is located right in the heart of La Vista city center. It is sort of in a little bit of a "strip mall" situation, but it does have it's own little architecture design on the outside, and the inside is gorgeous! It has super cool decor and art all over, with black and white patterned tiles and pops of color in the red lighting and teal touches. The interior is quite large with lots of seating, including several booths and tables on one side, and a really cool bar with seating, as well as more booths on the other side. When you arrive, you immediately get friendly service while you're seated and get some complimentary chips and salsa at the table. The salsa is great, and we ordered the queso cheese dip to go along with it too - I definitely recommend the queso! It was a melted white cheese that was extra gooey and tasty. My husband and I both had version of the enchilada plates. I had the Enchiladas Verdes - which were SO GOOD! It came with three little chicken enchiladas topped with guacamole, green salsa, and sour cream. The dish came with rice and beans, which were also fantastic tasting on their own, not just thrown on the side, which you can see at a few other Mexican places. The rest of us all got enchilada and burrito platters that all looked very similar in appearance (but with different proteins), so I didn't photograph each plate, but trust me that they were all delicious :-)We were a little worried there wouldn't be a ton of options for our vegetarian friend who was with us, but to our happy surprise, they had an entire vegetarian menu for her to choose from! I definitely recommend a stop at El Vallarta. They have a huge menu with lots of options, great staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Okay first every food item is delicious here. Chips and salsa perfection. The staff is friendly and quick to take care of you. They give you enough time to decide what you want but then never leave you searching for help if you need it. My drink was never empty...which is such a plus for me. They have great specials for lunch and dinner, as well as margaritas that are also amazing. It's pretty a casual setting here so you could visit for anything. Date, business lunch, birthday celebration, all of that would work here.

Went here for an early dinner and was not impressed. The chips were thick but pretty standard, the salsa had zero flavor and was more like crushed up tomatoes. The fried tacos looked like they had thrown basic ortega shell tacos into a fryer. The beef was completely flavorless and the rice was dry and over cooked. The enchilada sauce tasted metallic like it came out of a can The server was attentive and the restaurant is decorated nicely but I eat out based on the food and it was definitely not good.

I was craving Mexican food for dinner. My boyfriend and I decided to try our El Vallarta. For a Frieday night, it was packed. Which is always a good sign. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, not bad at all.I ordered the chimichangas, and he got a buritto dinner. The food is what you would expect for a Tex-Mex restaurant. It was good. All tables are served chips and salsa. The portions are huge! I had enough to take home. Over is it was a good experience.

We visit El Vallarta about once a week. It's a great spot for family gatherings, and they have a lovely patio. I recently took a friend there for lunch, and they have AMAZING lunch specials that are very affordable! We both ordered the chimichanga lunch plate, which came topped with cheese sauce, guac, tomato's, lettuce, and sour cream. Beans and rice come as sides. They also provide chips and salsa (not very spicey, but very very good). Our waitress was wonderful. Our water glasses never ran dry, and our food was brought out very quickly. She even gave us a little plate with a fried, cinnamon tortilla, with honey and whipped cream to enjoy before we left.

Very popular and dependable place. Despite the many Hispanic restaurants in the area, this stays one of my favorites. Food is always hot, ambiance and delicious. Great service!

Been going there for a long time but it has really started to go down hill. The skirt steak used in fajitas and tacos asada is greasy and tough. The chimichangas taste old and the chicken is tough. The cheese they use is old and gummy. The corn tortillas are grainy and fall apart. We are never going back. Good luck to their customers.

I ordered the Birria stew. While the broth was fantastic the chunks of stew meat were the toughest I've ever had. Impossible to bite through. Will definitely not be eating their food again.
