El Potrero Mexican Restaurant

Ambiance was more of an upscale vibe! Clean, great music, upbeat! Service was quick & snappy! Loved the efficiency! Salsa was fresh and the chips were crispy, warm, & delectable. Some of the best we've had!Entrees were solid! Wish they had more meat, and that there was a bit more flavor to the fajitas, rice, & beans. It was a tad plain! The cheese sauce on the pollo borocho & adding salsa on the fajitas helped add flavor! Food was super fresh which is appreciated! Would go again!

B and myself here for lunch today. After seeing large Pablano chilis yesterday another same name location, wanted to check here. Sure enough, same here. Really good too. The Pablanos have more flavor...to me. B had taco salad and was larger/much better here than other location had. Lots chicken in also. Mex Coke here. Required drink any good Mex food stop. Anyway, we both liked here.

Not the best Mexican food in town but the staff is friendly and the margarita flights are huge and strong. The ambiance is nice and relaxing.

Stopped here when passing through Kearney. The vegetarian options were limited. I ordered a bean enchilada and a spinach mushroom quesadilla. The enchilada was meh but edible. The quesadilla smelled weird (mildly fishy???) and was GLOSSY with grease. (See photo.) I told the waiter and he said, "okay." I couldn't eat it. He did remove it from my bill, which I appreciated and that is the only reason I added another star.

Super impressed by my fajita chimichanga this evening. Caramelized onions, peppers, and marinated beef in a chimichanga? Best idea possible. Also really like their rice compared to other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Salsa is good too!

I was not impressed with this restaurant and wish I would have gone somewhere else for dinner. What I was looking forward to coming here was a cheap smothered burrito for under $10. Well, there isn't a whole lot on the menu for that price, plus the dishes are much smaller than the burritos I have had at other mexican restaurants. The value here was non-existent and the service was not good at all. I think our waiter was high with how red and heavy his eyes were. Next time I'm in the area I'm going to the Culver's across the street.

Passing through Kearney, we found this place chasing down a restaurant that was rated higher. It was clear that this was more worth trying and it exceeded expectations! I know Mexican food (in all it's complexity) and this is wonderful and inexpensive. It earns a 5 because it excels in being what a Mexican restaurant of this type should be. My shrimp tacos were delicious, the guacamole enjoyable, the chips made on site and the margaritas generous.

Wow lived around the corner for 3 years and took wife for birthday, what a surprise so good very impressed

food was good! service was so so. fajita meat was a little stringy but tortillas were superb. chips good. waitress never brought more salsa. iced tea icky. Plan to spend a bit.

Oh my...a favorite for locals and a great place to bring out of town guests. Quick service, large menu selection. Plenty of seating.
