El Porton Mexican Restaurant

Service is very personable and we are cared for like family every single time we come in. Javier is so sweet and he always makes an effort to ask what we're up to and how we're doing. Food comes out so unbelievably fast it's amazing, and the quality is always top notch. If there's ever been anything off with our food, they take it back and fix it right away the first time. We have seriously no complaints and believe El Porton is the best restaurant based on so many factors compared to other restaurants in Glenwood. The building outside isn't the Taj Mahal, but they make such an effort to keep it clean and attractive so it shouldn't steer anyone away from stopping to have some amazing margaritas and good quality food with super attentive service. 10/10 everytime! We love them and eat there multiple times a month!!

As of this writing, this is the closest Mexican restaurant to us in Malvern. And, it's pretty good food!The service is always on point. Fast food. Full drinks. Clean place.Chips and salsa are just ok. I don't think the chips are made on site. The salsa is good. Cheese sauce is the good white cheese style with good flavor.I've gotten then combo dinner a few times and have tried their chimichanga. All are.pretty good but standard. Tonight, I got the Pollo jalisco, which is chicken and chorizo covered in cheese...very good! Lots of flavor and well cooked. This will be my go-to for a while.The restaurant is nothing fancy, but it's also not dirty or worn out. The beer selection is pretty standard but the margaritas are really good. A very good placenta try and find your favorite dish!

Awesome authentic food and definitely the best for service!! Love eating there and highly recommend!!

Sue and I tried this after the Glenwood Car Show Saturday (where we took 2nd place, BTW).Almost didn't stop. Was about 3:30 PM and one car in lot. Couldn't see "Open" sign but as we got closer, Sue did. OK. Place doesn't look too appealing from the outside. About 7 steps to get to door, ramp is better. Paint is peeling from railings and ramp unpainted plywood. Inside could use some updating, too.Liked the complimentary chips and salsa.Sue ordered Half & Half Nachos, bean on one side and beef on other with cheese. Not much else but that's the way she prefers it. Said it was pretty good. I ordered Steak Fajitas Quesadillas. Came hot with lots of peppers and onions. Now we're talking. Steak was OK but a few grisly pieces in there i had to chuck. A dollop of Avacodo and Sour Cream and lettuce which made it better. Too big for me, tho. Had to bring home Single server for a Saturday? Well, got busy but she did good and was joined by male counterpart. Would like for this place to be closer to home for us but will visit again.....maybe for next years show.

Service is always fantastic and the food is really great! A great family restaurant in Glenwood!

It was okay. My taquitos were immolated well beyond "well done" and not enjoyable, but that appears to be the intent for the dish. Other members of my group had much better prepared, juicy, and delicious fajitas. This was a detour off the interstate so it's unlikely we'll be passing this way again, but overall worth a look if you're hungry and in the area.

Jesus H. Christ, dang this place is delicious. We've been traveling the country for 4 years originally from the sf Bay. Legit, this place smacks like authentic grandma's cooking. Even better is the service. EVERY worker had an fantastic attitude. Shiiitttt, I feel blessed to eat here.

Tried this one Wednesday evening. The food was pretty good. Standard (not premium) Margarita was just okay. Got there fairly early (5:30ish) and the place wasn't too crowded. We got served promptly and the food came out really fast. As we dined, it got really busy. I think our server must have gotten overwhelmed and he never made it back to our table to refill waters or check on us. Had to flag him down to get our ticket. Lastly, the space is broken up into separate dining areas, with the small reception area in between. When we left, it was FULL of people waiting. Had to fight our way to the register to pay and exit. In summation, liked the food, would upgrade to a premium margarita and go at a slow time.

Really good food and service. I love the food truck that they have. The horechata could use less sugar. But over all a wonderful place

We're locals and just love this place. The staff are so nice and the food is always tasty. The portions are way too large for us oldsters, but we enjoy a second meal the next day from the leftovers. Their seafood dishes are fantastic - love the bacon wrapped shrimp, among other dishes. Even the sides, like the refried beans, are delicious. Usually a busy atmosphere - place looks sad from outside, but inside it is cheery and well appointed.
